No Reef is not clutch, he's been known over the years for this, but he did hit some clutch shots against the Spurs I think this year. It is actually all mental for him, but he's said to be improving now so thats good.

Shit, what I know Reef hasen't got a criminal past, dosen't smoke weed, ...fuck he dosen't even got a tattoe what I know. This guy will have a serious hard time to fit in the team

But seriouly, I think Portland did good by trading Wallace and getting Reef.
By looking at the stats, Reef has better than Wallace.
Getting Ratliff is just perfect, he is one of the best blockers in the league, and since Portland haven't had a real center for a time (where is Dale Davis?!) it's great for them to have Ratliff starting as a center.
Wesley Person? he is overated!
Portland gonna have a great rebounds (don't know if they already do) with
Ratlif as center, Randolph as powerforward and Reef as smallforward. I think they could try to have Miles a starting shootingguard too.

But portland is getting a bit less crimlike. They got rid of Bonzi and Wallace. but still anderson and Damon will make sure reef gets caught with something  Its like team tradition there

disclaimer- not trying to engage in a flame war. if i disagree/agree with some of the previous posts, don't take it personal...

i'm not sure if you can say one team got the better end of the deal. both teams got what they wanted

i'm a little surprised atlanta made the move given their ownership situation... atlanta has stunk the past few years even with a high payroll. now they can stink for cheap now. they'll have the cap to go after a big name FA, but how likely is it to happen? as another poster mentioned, i think wallace has already started looking for housing in the big apple

as for portland, they 2 get good citizens and their contracts expire next year. tmac in a blazers uniform in the near future? could be....unfortunately for seattle, utah, denver, portland has instantly become a playoff contender

'reef can work out as the sf on this team, from the games i've seen him play, he likes to play off the perimeter first, then go to the post 2nd. defensively, he may have some problems, perhaps portland goes more zone now.

ratliff should get eaten up playing against the west's best big men, but who doesn't? at least portland now has someone who will guard the center position, rather then wallace or randolph taking turns and getting in foul trouble

as far as clutch play goes, wallace was reluctant to be a go to guy in the first place. rahim should have an advantage on most nites, being one of the better post up sf's in the league.

miles at sg? perhaps only in late game situations for defensive purposes.

Ratliff?

I would bench Miles ahead of Ratliff, he's a pretty decent big man, Reef can play SF, Miles could be a nice sparkplug off the bench. (Y)

it think short-term its a win for portald getting 2 talented guys in reef and theo for wallace (lets forget about person and dickau). with that they made their bench an upgade with miles and davis. but come long-term it will benifit the hawks. 2 big contract out. 2 season-end contract. (wallace will not re-sign with hawks i guess.) let them chase some good free agent. (not kobe he will stay at lakers)
