Must admit, I'm not very familiar with him. In any event, another former player gone too soon; quite a few guys in their 40s and 50s have passed away in the last few years. RIP.

Pearl was a NYC high school legend, right up there with Kareem, Archibald, King & Mullin. And his legend continued at Syracuse during the Big East heyday. Unfortunately his game didn't translate well to the NBA, and his career fizzled out after a few years.
