Ray Allen or Michael Redd?
Ray Allen. Both are great shooters but I think Ray is the better all around shooter and scorer, he can get to the hole and is one of the leagues best 3 point and free throw shooters every year. Redd is a great long range shooter, but he isn't as quick or athletic as Ray and doesn't score close to the basket very often, so if his shots off, he's sorta shut down. Michael also isn't as great a free throw shooter, hovering around 85% while Ray consistently shoots 90% or there abouts from the line. Neither do much on the defensive side of the ball, but I think Ray is probably the superior defender, and also the smarter player.
Ray is also a better passer, sees the floor better. He is more of a playmaker, where as Michael is more of the end of the play, gets himself open, makes the shot. Ray tends to be more involved despite whether he is shooting or not. Neither are good rebounder's but Allen has a slight edge mainly because of his athletic ability. In my opinon Ray Allen is the better scorer because he can score from anywhere on the floor that Michael can, but better. In my opinion Ray is a little bit better at creating his own shot. Since Ray is the better offensive player and both these guys are very offensive minded players, I give the nod to Ray as the better overall player.
EDIT:
Joe Johnson or Ray Allen?
Ray Allen. Better scorer, overall a bigger talent than Joe. Joe is a great playmaker and passer, but thats about it when it comes to things he has over Ray.
Scottie Pippen or Dominique Wilkins?
Fri Feb 23, 2007 6:32 pm
Wilkins - Better Dunker Pippen - better scorer..
Linas Kleiza or Shandon Anderson ?
Fri Feb 23, 2007 6:37 pm
Anderson, obviously
Mitch Richmond vs Ray Allen
Fri Feb 23, 2007 6:42 pm
Ray Allen.
Derek Anderson or Shandon Anderson ?
Fri Feb 23, 2007 7:12 pm
Derek Anderson
Dwight Howard or Amare Stoudemire?
Fri Feb 23, 2007 8:24 pm
Stoudamire.
Wade or Mcgrady ?
Fri Feb 23, 2007 9:02 pm
I'd take Ray Allen.
Sat Feb 24, 2007 1:30 am
Wade eats mcgrady up

Raymond Felton or TJ Ford? (and why to all you spammers out there)
Sat Feb 24, 2007 7:44 am
I have to go with TJ Ford. He is just overall a better player. Felton is just a sixth man.
Carlos Arroyo or Speedy Claxton?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 11:02 am
wtf???? Raymond Felton is an infinetely better player than Ford. He's a better shooter, better passer, better playmaker, better defender. Raymond Felton will probably be an All-Star one day, if not he'll deffinately be close. Ford....sucks ass.
Sat Feb 24, 2007 11:09 am
Wilkins - Better Dunker Pippen - better scorer..
Scottie Pippen a better scorer than Nique? Dominique is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. Yes, he was a better dunker than Pippen but that brings almost nothing to their overall ability as a basketball player.
I was expecting someone to talk about Niques offfensive ability vs Pippens defence and overall playmaking skill and versatility. I think people should at least discuss the players instead of just posting one of their names, this thread sucks
Sat Feb 24, 2007 11:27 am
Well, a few years down the line, Felton will be better, but right now, Ford and Felton both put up roughly the same stats, but Ford does it in less playing time.
Also, noone replied to Arroyo v. Claxton...
Sat Feb 24, 2007 12:25 pm
Explain how TJ Ford is a better overall player than Felton?
You do realise Felton can do more things than Ford, don't you. Ford is a one-dimensional player, in that makes plays but not much else. Atleast Felton can shoot.
BTW I would probably take Arroyo over Claxton.
Devin Harris or Steve Francis?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 2:12 pm
Francis- i think he still has game, just needs to leave NY
Tyson Chandler or Ben Wallace?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 2:28 pm
Holy crap, that's really wierd. I loaded this thread with the intention of asking that very question - Tyson Chandler or Ben Wallace.
Anyway after this season, i'll go with Tyson Chandler. He's really proving himself to be a consistant monster. Turns out he just needed a change of scenary. It's a tough choice but Ben Wallace is slowly declining and Chandler is more productive than Ben now.
Stat attack: In February (last 10 games), Chandler is averaging 12.5 points, 16.7 rebounds on 58% shooting along with 1.5 blocks.
Ummmm, Elton Brand or Karl Malone?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 2:49 pm
Malone. Hes a two-time MVP winner and Hall of famer.
Er... Deron Williams or Tony Parker?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 3:36 pm
I'll say tony parker.
Ray Allen or Michael Redd?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 3:46 pm
oooo... this is tough. I will say that Deron Williams is better. He is definiely a better playmaker. He is pretty damn good on offense although Tony is better because he can penetrate at will (hahaha, I just thought of Eva Longoria). But, yeah. I believe Deron Williams is better in terms of overall skill. If he's not better now, I believe he will be in the near future.
Let's see... Caron Butler or Josh Howard? (and why God damnit!)
As a side note about this thread, I don't think it sucks. At least it has the potential to not suck as long people don't just say stuff like "Kobe, because he is the best player eva!!". This is the first time I've been interested in this forum for a while.
Sat Feb 24, 2007 3:59 pm
Josh, he is a higher caliber player, and a better shooter.
Paul pierce or Carmelo Anthony
Sat Feb 24, 2007 4:10 pm
Paul Pierce, he just needs somebody to help him out out there in Boston. Can't argue with the 26 ppg - 7 rpg. If they didn't have Pierce I don't think they would have won ten games so far. Anthony is a thug and a selfish player.
Rasheed Wallace or Ron Artest?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 4:21 pm
Wallace
JR Smith or Mo Pete?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 4:37 pm
Definitely J.R. He has made a big impact as a starter, and is putting up better numbers/has more potential than Mo-Pete.
Paul Shirley or LeBron James
But seriously... Kirilenko or Gerald Wallace?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 4:47 pm
Gerald Wallace, fuck AK47, he's killing my fantasy team. No, but seriously, it seems as though AK has forgotten how to put the ball in the basket. He is still a beast on D with his blocks and steals. Gerald is better than him. Wallace is an amzing athlete that has become very skilled on offense. He has really learned how to fill it up down low with his powerful dunks and lay ups. He has improved his jumper though it still needs a lot of work.
I think this is a good one: Chauncey Billups or Baron Davis?
Sat Feb 24, 2007 5:21 pm
Finals MVP for me.....better shot selection, better defence, controls the game etc. If only Davis played up to his abilities, then he could be the leagues best PG.
Elton Brand vs JO
