Clippers here we come!
Suns in six is my guess.

Congratulations to the suns fans, but dont bitch about the refs like you did before. That was just pathetic.

It wouldn't be NBA talk if they didn't.

Hopefully Kurt Thomas will be ready for this next series, cause they'll definetly need his defense.

IF PHX keeps their momentum going and runs nonstop, they'll blow out the Clippers in game 1. They're coming off a big victory, they'll be playing in their territory with the support of their fans, and the Clippers haven't been in action for a while now. Plus, the Clippers might've looked good in the first round, but they were playing against the Nuggets, who just fell apart in the playoffs. Brand and Kamn will dominate inside, but PHX will tire them out eventually with the running game. Suns in 5.

True, but Elton Brand is a bit shorter than Odom and probably more of Shawn Marion's height. He might be a better match up. I think Kaman is the one the Suns need to worry about the most.

Height doesnt matter....play style and power does in the post. Suns will disintegrate in the post against the suns. The problem is that sam cassel and the rest of them like to run.

I'll take Phoenix in seven. This series won't be AS exciting as the Lakers/Suns series but it will be enjoyable.

Indeed. Clippers are a well built team, in that they can go big or small and they are able to slow it down and pound it in the post with there bigs, or play at the Suns' speed if need be. Clippers in 4 or 5.

I think the big difference between Odom and Brand will be that Brand isn't as quick. Odom is much quicker and can take Marion off the dribble more effectively than Brand could. He isn't slow, but he's slower than Odom. If there are some strings of hope to grab at, those are them.
I just hope Livingston gets too impatient and starts running whenever he's in the game.

Alright start to the game. I'm a little worried about the foul trouble, but at least they're making their shots.
Tue May 09, 2006 3:27 pm
They killed the Clippers at the 3pt line. Just killed them. And like Mr. Sager said 'another MVP performance' by Steve Nash.
Great start to the series.
Tue May 09, 2006 4:48 pm
not the type of game Clippers wanna get into.....whoever controls the pace of the game will eventually win the series.

From the scores, it looks like a game I would've liked to have seen. I don't mind the defensive chess match type of game but a shootout like that with both teams shooting above 50%, 10 players in double digits in scoring, six of them with at least 20 or more. Elton Brand's stat line jumped out at me; 40 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks, 18/22 shooting. Looking at some of the other players, there's a definite video game feel to that contest.
Tue May 09, 2006 7:23 pm
Elton Brand abused the FSS inside scorer... can I hit him?
Tue May 09, 2006 9:56 pm
No, but I'd adjust the sliders.
Tue May 09, 2006 10:19 pm
Can no one stop the fucking suns? This is ridiculous

WCF is as far as they can go.
Still, this is just 1 game.

MAN the Westeren Conference semis are going to be 100 times more interesting the the East.
Game one was fantastic, I have a couple of quick points about it. Cat Mobley should have been in the game in the final 4 minutes. Playing Livingston during that time was a big mistake. I kept on saying that over and over again, and then what happens, when they are down 7 with the ball with a chance to cut the lead to 5 or 4, Shaun throws a pass off the rim and the suns fast break, Nash scores and gets fouled. Cat is a guy with a lot of crunch time experience, and he's GOT to be in the game late.
I'm so happy for Elton Brand. If only we could trade Jermaine for him... The guy is an absolute monster, I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 35-40 a game for this series. That is, unless D'Antoni wakes up and puts Brian Grant in to defend him. Why Grant never even sniffed the floor is beyond me, he's the only thing Phoenix has (that's not wearing a suit) who can even come close to stopping Elton.
Sam Cassell has never commited a foul in his entire life.
God damn, Corey Maggette is SO much better then Peja

boris diaw is hilarious, he went to the dressing room when raja bell hit the buzzer beater after the third quarter. he probably thought the game was over

I was really amazed that the Clippers didn't win this. I know the Suns like to score a lot and all, but Elton Brand was automatic. They followed the game plan well, I don't know much else they could have done except play better defense... which is looking to be impossible againt the Suns.
I'm happy with the outcome, but more interested to see what Dunleavy will try to do next game.

I thought he was in the same boat as Kurt Thomas, still questionable as to whether he'll be ready to go again this year.

Brian was sitting in his warmups with a glum look on his face for the whole game.

Brian Grant weak leg's cant defend a parked bike, much more Elton Brand.
Laker fans learned that the hard way and apparently suns fans have.
