Fuck Robert Horry. You have just been added to my hate list, you join the likes of Ron Artest, Richard Jefferson, Gary Payton and Eddie Robinson.

robert horry > your favorite super sub

Yea seriously.. I knew he was gonna make big shots, but he already made like 3 straight 3 pointers or so (one of them over Sheed I think) so I just KNEW he had to miss.. but he didn't dissappoint.. what was funny though was after the game he mentioned that that wasn't part of the plan, but since Sheed left him open, "I was feeling good so I just let it fly.." LOL.. if he missed Poppovich would have been sooo pissed.

Tue Jun 21, 2005 1:10 pm

I expect Horry to get paid the max because of the big time shots he makes. He makes bigger shots than Kobe

Tue Jun 21, 2005 6:23 pm

if Rasheed wasnt smoking crack perhaps the outcome would of been different.

I just cant live with the fact that Horry went unguarded...it will raise the intensity of Detroit that much more. If he made the 3 with a hand in his face i could live with it but not this.

Actually Prince almost got to him with those long arms of his... 5 inches more and he'd have blocked it...

Tue Jun 21, 2005 10:19 pm

yeah but Horry had time to set up, and only upon release Prince got there...had someone been on Horry (Rasheed) he wouldnt of gotten a good look like that.

Wonder what Shee dwas smoking on.. that Manu looks like Timmy...

Wed Jun 22, 2005 1:08 am

not to mention that he doubled in the corner not down low

Wed Jun 22, 2005 2:51 am

It's crazy how that one blunder changed the entire series.

Now 'Sheed can change all that if he comes out tonight, focused, and plays like he's supposed to play. No outside shots. Take your man down low and go to the damn hoop.

Rasheed made a horrible mistake, but not often does someone who made a mistake this bad in the NBA finals get a chance to redeem himself this soon afterwards. Now, Go Spurs, take that belt from those cocky fuckers.

Wed Jun 22, 2005 3:59 am

You're a Pacer fan and you're still calling other teams 'cocky'?

Wed Jun 22, 2005 4:04 am

Why do you think he's doing that? It's because he's a Pacers fan. He stills blames Indiana's losses on Detroit.

He was talking about the assignments at the beginning of the play, not what happened in the last moments.

Sheed started out cheating in a lot to help guard Timmy in the post and cut off a inbounds pass from Horry going to Timmy. However, this is the big breakdown, Tim wasn't looking for the ball he instead ran away from the ball and set a pick on Prince and Ginobli streaked and was wide open.

Both Sheed & Prince got to Ginobli at the same time, it's not like Prince was all over Ginobli and Sheed just walked over to double him. Prince got picked bad by Duncan.

Spurs ran a great play, Detroit bit on the Duncan fake and paid.

Now 'Sheed can change all that if he comes out tonight, focused, and plays like he's supposed to play. No outside shots. Take your man down low and go to the damn hoop.

And while he's at it he'll perform open heart surgery. Where is he going to find time to squeeze 20 years of post-up game mechanics in 48 hours? The most posting Sheed does is a high-post to turnaround jumper, but he's always been based on the jump shot.

If someone has never tried low-post before, Game 6 of the Finals against the Spurs is not the time to start experimenting to see if you can pull off some new moves you practiced 15 minutes ago.

What's your point? How are we cocky? We lost our best player for the whole season, never made excuses, and still went to the second round and took the defending champs 6 games. Show me the cockiness.

Um... :?:

Sure, when Detroit beats us I do blame Detroit... Isn't that what I'm supposed to do?

As a fan sure... as a lover of your team, you should blame the things your team did wrong so that they will not be repeated... That's the coach's aspect...

Wed Jun 22, 2005 6:08 am

Exactly, I was just going to say that. Sometimes it's alright to say they fucked up.

Wed Jun 22, 2005 1:52 pm

I have a problem when Rasheed spends most of his time on the bench and Duncan doesn't touch the ball. I know it was subtle but man when you have that kind of advantage, feed the man the ball. Coach put him in the paint. I don't understand that other than now we have a game 7.

Wed Jun 22, 2005 1:57 pm

Duncan was terrible from the line, Ginobili couldn't put up his heroics, and there was no magic from Horry. It was a great game overall, though, and the series is starting to get really exciting. 4 lopsided games followed by two close ones to send the whole thing into game 7. It's gonna be sweet :D

Wed Jun 22, 2005 2:00 pm

Noo!!!! Tim Duncan is the reason they are losing! He blew it in game 5 and now in game 6!!! :x

Wed Jun 22, 2005 2:01 pm

Shit...I didn't even know there was a game today... :x
Damn, the Finals getting better and more exciting!
Go Spurs, beat their asses...make Wallaces go home to their mamas...

(Y) Thursday is going to be an awesome game 7 you can't miss to watch!
Detroit Pistons or San Antonio Spurs... winner takes all!

Wed Jun 22, 2005 2:16 pm

Detroit improved to a remarkable 5-0 in elimination games over the last two years. It has won a pair of Game Sevens during that stretch and seems unaffected by pressure.
"We're tough as nails," Billups said.

Toughness has not been a characteristic of the Spurs, who squandered a great chance to wrap up their third title in seven years and now have to be feeling some pressure.

Thursday's contest will be the first Game Seven for both superstar Tim Duncan and coach Gregg Popovich.

San Antonio Spurs should have wrapped it up in game 6... Detroit Pistons have been known to win it in game 7s!

... and considering others who think that this series is a boring one!

Wed Jun 22, 2005 2:19 pm

Duncan better PRACTICE HIS FREE THROWS TONIGHT!

Wed Jun 22, 2005 2:48 pm

That's why I didn't get the reason why people said the series was so boring. I knew it was going to be better than any of the previous finals in the last say 4-5 years mainly because it was going to go either 6 or 7 games automatically. I can't believe the Spurs lost this one though, and I also can't believe Duncan is letting the team down so much from the line. I think he just concentrates to hard on his free throws.

Wed Jun 22, 2005 3:21 pm

Wow! What an exciting game! I went to the Palace of Auburn Hills tonight for "PalaceVision" and it was amazing. The place was going nuts all night long... Anyway, what a game. It was really close all the way to the end- I think the biggest lead through the first three quarters was like 4 or 5 points, but there was a ton of lead changes which kept everyone on their toes. Tim Duncan missed way too many free throws down the stretch again, and unfortunately for the Spurs, this time it cost them. I can only hope for an encore in game 7... I think the Pistons have this thing now! I'm definitely goin back to the Palace for game 7, it's only $5 bucks and it's WELL worth it.

An interesting stat: Detroit committed only 5 turnovers in this game. :!: :!:
