Whats up with the mock clapping thing causing an ejection. Refs are bit overreactive... And Stephen Jackson is ejected for pretty much nothing, again!
Wed May 02, 2007 2:37 pm
Thats still pretty bad. Mavs BARLEY hold on to win against the 8th seed Warriors...
Dodged a bullet indeed thanks to the ugly german. I just hope God has mercy on the Mavs souls in Game 6 in the ORACLE.
Wed May 02, 2007 2:38 pm
I always seem to catch Dallas at the wrong times. This is the first time in like the last 12 games that Dirk has impressed me.
I'm thinking Game 6 will pretty much be like a Game 7. After Dallas's performance tonight though, I don't see Golden State losing. But i can hope..
Wed May 02, 2007 2:43 pm
The wheels on the bandwagon are slowly coming loose....
Go Mavs.
Wed May 02, 2007 2:43 pm
I just laugh at the Mavs for Game 6, they dont stand a chance at the Oracle. Please someone quote me on this too.

Weren't you just hoping fo a Warriors win 5 minutes ago!?
Wed May 02, 2007 2:47 pm
Yes i was... and i didnt get it..
Im saying that Mavs dont stand a chance at the Oracle
I cant believe how Warriors played so bad in the last couple of minutes.
Wed May 02, 2007 2:50 pm
I'm on the bandwagon, so what? Not because GS is winning, but because they're so damn fun to watch! I've only been watching NBA basketball for 7 years or so, and I've never seen a team as unique and intriguing as the Warriors.
I've never cheered so hard for a team, other than the Suns of course. I guess I'm one of those guys who embraces the underdog...if the Suns aren't involved, I always want the favored team to go down.
GS gave this one away. Two plays in a row, JRich on the first and SJax on the second, they took the clock down to 7 seconds before attempting to drive and putting up a terrible mid-range shot. Props to Avery for taking the ball out of Baron's hand, but I think the Warriors could've and should've got it back to him.
Wed May 02, 2007 2:53 pm
Yeah definetley the Warriors are so fast paced that i dont thnk that they realized that they had the clock on their sides. They could of easily atleast waited until the shot clock was down to 1 or 2 to put up a shot. They had a 9 point lead they should of slowed it. Dangit
Should've, could've, would've, just couldnt
Wed May 02, 2007 3:00 pm
Well, if this series ends, at least it might end in front of GSW fans in favor of the Warriors.
Wed May 02, 2007 3:03 pm
Do you thnk the Warriors are starting to become the favored or still the underdog? They obviously the underdog coming into the series as the 8th seed. But since they have surprised Dallas and have already won 3 games against them do you think its changed?
Wed May 02, 2007 3:15 pm
I think they'll still be the underdog. Especially against the Suns or the Spurs.
Wed May 02, 2007 3:30 pm
damn.....i think they'll close it out in Game 6 though....Oracle has the best fans in the NBA hands down.
Wed May 02, 2007 3:38 pm
Has anyone else heard about Jason Richardson punching a fan after tonights game? Apparently Mark Cuban has footage and is sending it to the Leagues offices, so J Rich may not be able to play at Oracle which would be a huge hit to the Warriors hopes.
Its all talk right now, but I hope it isn't true.
EDIT: Turns out it was apparently a shove, heres what someone at RealGM said:
ESPN's Mavs affiliate who does the Mavs broadcast has had several reports on this.
Here's what I've heard
Late in the fourth quarter, J-Rich fell at the baseline or out of bounds somewhere. At this point, he apparantly was tangled up with some fans. Fans were jawing, J-Rich was jawing and he allegedly shoved the fan.
There is video and they reported that you can see J-Rich shoving the fan.
No reports of a punch whatsoever.
No commentary on whether this can be passed off as J-Rich just trying to extricate himself from a pile of fans or anything like that.
Local ESPN interviewed J-Rich in the locker room and asked him about the incident and he denied it entirely.

If Stern suspends him or anything for that, I will never watch the NBA again
Wed May 02, 2007 10:49 pm
If Stephen Jackson doesn't play Game 6 , the Warriors are doomed. The Mavs nearly won Game 6 and are fully capable of winning away from home , so I wouldn't be surprised if this series was tied up 3-3 heading towards Dallas.
This has probably been the best series in the 1st round so far.
Wed May 02, 2007 11:29 pm
Jackson penetrates to the basket so well as he could take away defenders with him and leave teammates wide open. So he's a loss if GS plays Game 6 without him.
Darn I thought the Mavs are done.

Players have been suspended for a lot less than that.

I disagree. Remember, the Mavs shouldn't be in this situation to begin with. The Warriors are going to play loose no matter what...ALL of the pressure has been on, is, and will be on Dallas to win these last 3 games, and the pressure will be highest in game 6. We know Dallas is a weak-minded team...the GS crowd will be on the verge of homicidal in game 6. Expect Dallas to be intimidated.
Whenever a team that is not the better team goes up 3-1 in a series, they have to close it out in game 5 or 6. They are not going to win a game 7 on the road. This is panning out to be like the Phoenix/LA series of last season. The Warriors know they need this game, they don't want to blow this now.

You can't say that, the big D's been disappointed already this year after coming back from a 3-1 deficit, I can hardly say it won't happen again in Game 7 (if that happens :S)

they did realize that. it was the reason they isolated at the top of the key so many times at the end of the game. they would hold to 6-8 secs left to try to run the clock down and jack up a horrible shot. they definitely lost their composure at the end of that game.
plus i remember that time J rich fell into the crowd. I didn't see the video, but he could argue he was trying to get up to get back down on defense
Thu May 03, 2007 7:43 am
So why is Jason Terry not suspended for game 6?
Fri May 04, 2007 12:49 pm

OMG do you see all those yellow shirts there at that place? This is gona be hard for the Mavs to pull a win off here.
