nah he is quiet just hard worker he was quiet on court coz the 36ers did target him beyond the point of just fouling him they were at the stage of wanting to injure/hurt him which is not how basketball should be played alot of bad calls by refs mainly not doing some calls which shoulda been called or for an apparent behind the back foul on brannen which was dogshit because all i saw was brannen go straight up for the rebound and no contact before the rebound...just a bad call. Brannen could have also toughened up a bit too he missed alot of baby hooks and under the basket shots which he should of hit.

I finally got CD with logos and player pics to do wallpapers for the bullets so expect some soon.

Thu Jan 06, 2005 7:07 pm

brisbane bullets vs wollongong hawks

Stand-in captain Stephen Black has scored a game-high 39 points as Brisbane snapped a two-game losing streak with a 123-105 win over Wollongong at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Saturday.

Just a night after going down by 13 points to the Hawks in Wollongong, the Bullets bounced back in impressive fashion to keep in touch with the league's top four.

Black shot 13-of-17 from the field, including six three pointers, as Brisbane levelled the season series at two wins apiece.

Was an impressive game everyone stepped up Kerle had an amazing steal in the 4th Bryant Matthews had 2 sick dunks, Black shot the lights out.

I was also not gonna go to the game last night but I'm glad I did in the end was worth watching.

Brisbane Bullets 123 (Black 39, Kerle 31, Matthews 21)
Wollongong Hawks 105 (Ballinger 34, Mee 20, Saville 19)

Bullets Vs Pirates

Well the game was pretty much over as soon as it started Bullets got off to a better start and never looked back really. Bryant Matthews free throws will be questioned again but he made up for it with 5 steals and 5 assists and 16 pts and 11 rbds.

Brisbane Bullets 112 (Brannen 25, Kerle 22, Matthews 16)
Hunter Pirates 95 (Franklin 19, Melmeth 17, Wethers 16)
@ Brisbane Convention Centre, 15/01/05. Crowd: 3018

All in all the game was good had some highlights some heated moments, I still personally enjoyed it.

In other news some wallpapers I have done for the Bullets should be added to the site within next week or 2.

Great game... great atmosphere! Thats wat I like at the games if everyone gets behind the team, especiallyt Matthews... although right now I could beat him in shooting god damn free thriows... does he ever practise them?

Anyways, he is doing very well and by playoffs I think he should start...

Tue Jan 18, 2005 11:04 am

He'll get better with free throws the last few games before that game he was getting a nice ft%.

Wed Jan 19, 2005 8:00 pm

Call me unpatriotic, but this year's "dunk contest" actually had me laughing out loud at times. There were some nice dunks, but the scoring seemed totally random and there certainly wasn't anything to rival what the NBA's contest showcases these days.

Wed Jan 19, 2005 8:26 pm

so you got to see it, maybe next year it will be better.

Thu Jan 20, 2005 5:17 pm

Adding the "one replacement per round" rule might be better. Throughout the years the NBA's dunk contest has had a pretty good format, the NBL should consider borrowing some of those ideas.

Thu Jan 20, 2005 5:36 pm

i'll say give it 2 years they should have the rules and scoring system fined tuned enough to be respectful enough to watch. Hopefully in next 2 years better dunkers will participate as well.

The library is awakening after a long slumber.

The Bullets crowd last night was so electric last night especially in the 4th quarter in the last 4-5 minutes and the Bullets seemed to feed off it to stage an incredible comeback win.

Down by 12 points at the end of the 3rd Bullets looked down and out after missing 2 point shot after 3 point shot during the game but somehow sparked up with tough defense, a monster facial by Bryant Matthews & Ruckers clutch ability to handle the tight game pressure.

1 of the most exciting games to watch this season at the Convention Centre.

Brisbane Bullets 92 (Rucker 22, Egan 19, Black 14)
Adelaide 36ers 91 (Rychart 25, Maher 20, Farley 18)
@ The Brisbane Convention Centre. Crowd: 3500 approx

*I've also noticed 2 things about the 36ers
1. Farley is a ball hog
2. The 36ers big men are useless to scared to use their size and dominate the low post.

That guy may aswell walk around with a "LOOK AT ME! I'M A BASKETBALLER!" sticker on his head. I saw him outside his house a few weeks ago in Glenelg washing his car... which was covered in 36ers stickers... while wearing 36ers training gear, while using a 36ers towel right out in the drive way for everyone to see.

Sun Jan 23, 2005 6:30 pm

hahaha hes just a proud 36er

Wed Jan 26, 2005 9:53 am

haha... that is hilarious about farley and his car washing... jeebers- he shoots too much last time i saw him!

Thu Jan 27, 2005 5:02 pm
