Brooklyn Nets face almost $70 million in luxury taxes
Might as well sign LBJ/Wade next season too and pay $150 mil in luxury tax.

And I hear AK47 is signing with the Nets at 3.1 mil. Defuq. He's giving up on 10 mil contract just to be with Russian owner? Makes you wonder if Russian bros have some other deals going on behind the closed door.

Again, I guess it's ultimately a drop in the bucket to Prokhorov, but that's insane.

In other news; the city of Moscow will now be evacuated and a house will be built there for AK47 and only his family. Stories unrelated.

What the moisoing moiso the moiso AK47! woooow, so this is Billy Kings Plan B? after Korver/Bogdanovic fiasco? hahaha In Billy/Proky I trust.

THIS IS DEFFINITELY THE BEST OFFSEASON SOO FAAAR! were pretty stacked in almost every positions. The addition on AK would really boost our perimeter defense, and we now have that go to guy that can hold his ground against a Melo/LBJ/KD type of players, add that to "The KG Effect" lol. We've add more versatility and length in almost all positions. Rumors said AK wanted multi year/big cash?(maybe for the sake of why he opted-out lol) thought he'd sign with Mav's or Cav's. A player giving up a 10 mil contract just to play w/ the DUMBEST TEAM in the NBA, 1st time in Nets history, wow just wow..

(SO FAR)2013-2014 Roster:

BLo/Plumlee
KG
/Blatche/Evans/Mirza
PP/AK/Toko
JJ/JET
DWILL/Livingston/TT

And I think it's more/less 80 Mil w/o AK47, now +15mil to lux tax, I guess Proky's not playing..

This is how Kirilenko can opt out of 10 mil contract and sign for significantly less(or more).

Just like Ray Ray last off season? The market dried-up for him.
From his agent http://www.nba.com/2013/news/07/11/andrei-kirilenko-signs-deal-with-nets/index.html
“At this point of his career, he’s fortunate to have made a lot of money,” said Kirilenko’s agent, Marc Fleischer. “And while money is important, I think they convinced him that signing with a team that had a chance win—and that had Russian ownership—was too good to pass up.”
Asked what he would tell people who wondered why Kirilenko would play for $7 million less next season, Fleischer said, “the same way Ray Allen walked away from a lot more money to play for the Miami Heat. And it worked out for Ray.”

So far..

6mil total for AK, Blatche, Livingston. This Russian owner is cheap  .

I wonder how the owner will react when his $170 million gets eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

gaybackflip is absolutely right. That's who he is and what he is doing, throwing out money out the window like a mindless baby while his country is being kept left completely destitute.

Prokhorov: 'Today, the basketball gods smiled on the Nets'
What? LeBron nor Kobe didn't smile on the Nets.

As far as from what I've read Nets are not interested in signing a 15th man, tho DJ White was actually included, I could see them waive him. Still idk but a sg/sf 3pt specialist like Miller would be great, barring injuries he's still has the touch and is one of the best kept secret weapons from the Heat the last few seasons.

Mike Miller is a great player. The Nets should pick him and increase their payroll from 186 mil to 200 mil.

Nets have Pierce and Joe Johnson that can shoot 3s they don't need Miller unlike with the Heat where they really needed someone like Miller. With Ray Allen there Miller had become expendable.

If there's anyone I want from the Nets, it's KG, only KG and not anybody else because I consider them overrated/overTheHill scrubs. Why do the Nets want him anyways. He's a punk that makes you puke.

KG is playing for the greatest PG now so he won't be a punk anymore that wants to make you puke.

Which should, of course, help him excel as his natural position.
