CMJ wrote:Denver are a real mess atm, terrible defense and very poor shooting

Camby went 5-16 against the Lakers
Kouba went 4-13 and Iverson went 5-17 these team is a disaster without Melo even with AI we still need Anthony to guide this team or everyone gets lost.

Looks like another loss is on the table against the Jazz tonight and i expect us to drop under .500 by the time Melo comes back, lets hope we have enough time to get our winning % at least above .600 to .700

yeah Nuggets are really playing like a piece of shit atm, even though kobe only scored 8....
Currently losing 0-9 to the Jazz with 4 minutes gone, so 5 in a row seems inevitable...

Guys, dont even bother checking results until Melo comes back, it will be scores like 80-110 :D

yeah well straight after we lost Melo we did alright and i thought maybe this isn't so bad, but judging by the last couple we desperately need him back. JR's back very soon now, he might help a bit, bever know Iverson and JR might just click...

Mon Jan 08, 2007 4:11 pm

As of this Iverson-Boykins doing most of the scoring, Camby reported Karl would need to alter his gameplan because the duo are taking the majority of the shots and the rest of the team are not getting much touches and it will be even worse once Melo comes back.

Linas Kleiza repeated his career high 17 points last game...

Mon Jan 08, 2007 6:21 pm

Yeah, but we didn't win, if u put up 40 and dont win, who cares...

Kleiza has his moments but hes not consistent and doesnt really fit with this team anymore. When Melo comes back he will probably be disbanded from the rotation of the bench and see limited minutes.

Boykins should be traded imo, Hodge has proved he is an ideal passer, he got 6 assists a couple of games back and i think he can improve with game time. Boykins will deplete the production of the Melo, Iverson combination as he will demand shots etc. He ruins this team if you ask me and needs to be moved.

Anybody else enjoying the NBDL game between the Bucks and the Nuggets? Man!!!! We've lost Mo Williams now to injury. This would be a completely different game if both teams had the whole rosters, not 1-2 decent players and a bunch of scrubs.

As a bucks fan, we are going down hill fast with injuries to Redd, CV31, Simmons and Mo Williams. That's 4 of 5 starters. No team can play .500 ball with that amount of bad luck.

Tue Jan 09, 2007 2:43 pm

Well good news for us guys, JR is back next game, Boykins might sit out the next one, since he got some hamstring soreness or something, but if AI and JR have big games, we can put up a good fight against SA.

Tue Jan 09, 2007 2:45 pm

yeah Bucks have some good players missing, but we've got JR and Melo missing too...

We finally snap a losing streak and beat the Bucks 104-92, we seemed pretty consistant through the game and never trailed (Y)
Camby played well again with 19 points 15 boards, 7 blocks and a couple of assists, hopefully that will boost his All Star votes. Boykins with 26 and 11 and Iverson with 23 and 3. Evans SOLID with a 13 point 11 Board Dub-Dub off 80% shooting.

Next up SA.... i think :P

Kleiza 11 points and 9 rebounds. Until Melo returns, hopefully he can continue this.

Yeah, I was thinking about going to their first home game, when Melo comes back, with full roster back on the court(besides Martin duh). Should be fun vs Nets.

He probably won them the game by injuring Mo Williams.

Wed Jan 10, 2007 8:13 pm

I cant wait for JR's comeback and seeing him and AI together on court, also it puts Boykins back on the bench again where he should stay seeing as he isnt the star on this team like he thinks he is.

Thu Jan 11, 2007 2:05 pm

We're down by 3 right now, and we have to start playing defense, AI is having a good night, maknig shots, but its mostly him. DDD!

Thu Jan 11, 2007 8:55 pm

Well we lost again. But i expect JR to start next game and he will start getting into the flow of the team again, i wouldnt worry about his FG% etc just yet as he will be a bit rusty for a couple of games, only 4 games to Melo is back YAY!

Sat Jan 13, 2007 6:15 pm

nuggets are 3-7 with "the answer".. expected more out of them..

Sat Jan 13, 2007 6:22 pm

the answer cant put up point by himself, nene is missing simple dunks, najera goes 1-7 from FG, Diawara jacked up 11 3-pts, only made 3...thats where the 3-7 comes from.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 2:17 pm

I don'y know why we traded 2 players for Blake when Boykins and Hodge are probably both better players than he is

Sun Jan 14, 2007 4:29 pm

salary cap reasons is why

Amphatoast wrote:salary cap reasons is why

Oh :P thanks Amphatoast, Damn well that sucks. Boykins was playing awesome......
Blake played alright aggainst Houston though, 3-5 3PT's between him, Diawara and JR though that's alot of 3's....

Sun Jan 14, 2007 6:18 pm

Bill Walton on ESPN said that Diawara put up as many shots in one game as he did in his whole career  And he does tho 11 or 12 is too much, I'd rather see him go and try for a lay up, if he misses it will be a softer rebound and we mite coem up with an offensive board and try again.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 9:48 pm

Diawara is getting his 15 seconds of fame while Melo is out, he knows his role and will become a more smarter shooter etc once the best player on this team comes back. JR Smith is rusty and needs to get back into the NBA environment and once he starts finding his form and building chemistry with AI he will be like he was when he first got here and dropping the odd 20+ game again.

So many Nuggets fans are stressing now that we are 3rd in the Division with the Wolves passing us, well i dont think we should stress until we see some games with Anthony apart of the team then if we still are getting blown out and playing shotty defense then we should be getting worried. True Nuggets fans should stick by the team even if it doesnt work out with Iverson we got JR Smith (21) and Carmelo Anthony (22) to lead this team for years to come.

I had to post something about this cos some of the Nuggets fans i know were freaking out and starting to self destruct.

Mon Jan 15, 2007 3:40 pm

Well what a good 3 quater performance my the Nuggets, we finally showed we don't rely on melo. Everyone played Great, except for in the 2nd Quater, great game to watch....If your a Nuggets fan
At the end of the game Iverson said '2 More Melo'.

Well sorry to double post but it's kinda been 5 days....probably cause Nuggets havn't played in 5 days. Anyway another win  yeah it's strange 2 in a row, we beat the Cleveland LeBrons 110-99, although Steve Blake didn't score many points (6) He was constantly pushing the ball up the floor all game, for that up-tempo style we like to play. Iverson and Camby played well, but especially Camby with a season high 26 points and 17 rebounds, also 2 blocks and 2 assists, Iverson had 25 points and 9 assists for a solid game. JR chipped in with 14 including a couple of highligh jams and Kleiza was very solid with 12. Although we were up by 25 at one stage  a win is a win i guess... I was really impressed with the hustle of players such as Najera, Blake, Kleiza and Evans filling their roles (Y)

Next up Houston.

oh and incase anyone didn't know Carmelo Anthony was named the 2006 Male Athlete of the Year by USA Basketball on Jan. 16 :D
1 more Melo :P
