I thought that was ridiculous. IMO, a true fan doesn't cheer for the opposition. You can respect the kid's talent, but cheering for him? I never cheered for Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kareem & Doc when they torched my guys. They're not wearing a Knick uniform, they're the enemy. But the Knicks are such sh!t these days, I guess the suckers who pay to see them need something to root for.

Why would you keep a fat, inefficient guy who can't rebound?
Former Knick Mark Jackson and former Bulls coach Scott Skiles are the most likely coaching candidates. Others could include Paul Silas, Tom Thibodeau, Mike Fratello and Terry Porter.

Skiles has been mentioned as a possible successor to Pat Riley in Miami.
Walsh had pushed Jackson for the Pacers coaching job, but Bird, who was in charge of the hiring process, didn't interview Jackson and eventually named Jim O'Brien coach.

Another interesting note posted in that article:Former Knick Mark Jackson and former Bulls coach Scott Skiles are the most likely coaching candidates. Others could include Paul Silas, Tom Thibodeau, Mike Fratello and Terry Porter.
Both scenarios assume that Thomas will be removed from all of duties at the end of the season, which seems a bit too optimistic to me. If there's any truth in that report then the Knicks could certainly do worse, though Skiles and the Knicks' current roster don't seem like a natural fit.
