Hell yeah. The rest doesnt deserve to be in the Top 20 just yet. Maybe in the future, but I agree with KG, TD & Shaq.

We agree too much.

Edit: Although he's aging, we could make a case for Malone.

I don't give a crap anyone says.. Kareem Rush Rox. He's defintely no Kobe, but he'd be one of the great guards (assuming he attacks the basket more.. which will get him use to the FT line) but he's developed a terrific 3 point shot (course, he can't prove it all night because the ball only comes to him when he's open at the 3 line) and a kobe-unstoppable-like fadeaway jumpshot. Yes, his FTs suck, but that's because he doesn't get to the line enough to be comfortable shooting.

People are saying "He wasn't even the best player on the Missouri team".. i dono what you guys mean whether when Kareem Rush was a freshmen, sophy, or junior.. but he was pretty damn dominant on the team, let alone the best player. If you don't think Pre-Season All-American means Kareem wasn't the best player on the team, I don't even know why they have All-American awards. Ricky Paulding was good, but not nearly as great as Kareem.

Kareem is going to have a great future with the Lakers and I'd love to see him stay. Right now, he's my favorite ball player (other than Eddie Jones and Kobe because EVERYONE'll think i'm a poser), but he's going to have to attack the basket a little more. Considering he's a supporting cast to Shaq Kobe Malone Gary, there's no way he'd drive to the hoop...He's got Shaq to do that.

oh yeah! malone! good save!

even though malone is aging he could probably fit in the top 20 too.

rush would probably be a good player given minutes, but i dont think as good as kobe. but ive been wrong before.

I agree, Rush's future shines bright. I like the way this kid plays, given the opportunity..he'll be good. Maybe not great great a la Kobe...but he's good. His shot is probably the finest on the Lakers' roster. He could be a Hamilton like player, running off screens, shooting. Seriously, I love this guys shooting. I like this kid and I hope he sticks around.

I also love Kareem Rush, he has the best looking Jumpshot Imo on the whole Lakers squad, but I like Derek Fishers more, but Rush is more of a jumpshooter while Fish releases on his way up.

What I dont like is that he doesnt really get the chance to prove himself as a player in Los Angeles. When he is missing 2 or something shots in a row, then seconds later you can hear the horn and someone is going to replace him. He played a big part in game 1 (or it was 2) in the Lakers-Rockets series where he nailed 2 straight 3-pointers to give the Lakers a more holdable lead when they needed it.

I would like to see him more in the fourth quarter with Kobe playing on the 3 in this series, because thats the part of the game where the Lakers need those points, and specially how they are playing at this moment.

I dont know if I should compare him with Richard Hamilton, to me Hamilton also has the ability to slash his way to the basket next to shooting, while I see Kareem more taking 1 or 2 dribbles inside and shooting 15 footers, and barely see him go inside for a layup

I meant his running off screens, not the slashing.

He has the ability to come of a screen and spot up for the J.

Willis??
come on magius you' place him there in front of kobe,t-mac or wince?
man,

anyway, personally i'd put kobe 20th and throw stock, mainly coz of what hes accomplished so far in his career, at only 25.
stock was around for almost 20 years and no ring, playing with the maybe the best pf of all time(i'd prolly go with duncan though), they probably should of won at least one ring.

anyway thats my opinion

not kevin willis :D willis reed!

upon doing this list, i think kobe would find his way into the top 75 or at least 100, i dunno though, and im not doing another 50 more  stockton is perhaps the greatest passer in nba history, he deserves to be in the top 20. its not that he had the ARGUABLY greatest pf in history, its that malone had him. but hey, not being in the top 20 doesnt mean you suck! kobe will be remember because he has won championships and by the end of his career will probably jump depending on what he does.

current players depending on their careers or depending on how good they are now? if it was upon careers, malone would be at #2, but i assume you want me to do how good they are now since kobe will be higher on that list :D

current players:
1. duncan
2. garnett
3. o'neal
4. kidd
5. bryant
6. ben wallace
7. jermaine o'neal
8. mcgrady
9. nowitzki
10. stojakovic
11. ron artest
12. yao ming
13. elton brand
14. peirce
15. baron davis
16. stephon marbury
17. tony parker
18. inverson
(14-18 interchangeable)
19. lebron james
20. vince carter

people who could probably be in top 20 but arent because no space: francis, odom, kirilenko, marion, etc.

i probably missed someone, correct me.

not kevin willis willis reed!

LOFL! I feel so stupid

you had me completley confused lol.

i probably agree with ya top 20 current, but again, i'd place kobe ahead of Kidd.
both have prolly already accomplished similar awards individually, but then those 3 rings come into place.

other than that good choices

I've read some articles on ESPN.com, about Kobe's case and today's game. It's says that, as usual, he will put awesome numbers, despite the flight between Colorado and L.A. IMO, that's very true.
I'm expecting a 35-point, 8 rebs, 6 ast effort...and a loss for the Lakers. If the Lakers play like game 3, and SA play decent (that means, Parker and Duncan playing normal, at least) this is going to be a great game :D !
But, IMHO, Kobe's ego is too big for another team-effort.
Well, let's see today's game. Go SA! Go LA (down 3-1 back in SA :P )!

I don't know how he does...not only does it baffle me but it also baffles Shaq!

"I don't see how he does it," superstar teammate Shaquille O'Neal said. "He's a fabulous player, probably the best player that ever played the game. Especially with all the stuff he's been going through."

Looks like a rare comment from Shaq... giving props to Kobe!

I think he got 42, 6 and 6- not bad? no- it's incredible... maybe he does it to prove his innocence!

And this from Pop:

The Spurs' coach went on to explain that he could accept defeat a bit easier on a night when Shaq got away with repeating his old claim that his little buddy Bryant is "the best player ever."

"He made some unbelievable shots, but he's an unbelievable player," Pop said. "It's not like this is an aberration."

- conceding defeat by Bryant!

Its not possible to say if you think he did it or not, simply because of the fact that any of us were not there when it happend or we didnt see any video footage to judge if he did it or not.

You can say I hope he did it or not, but saying I think he did or didnt is just lame
