so out of my recollection, it was:
1. Yugoslavia
2. Argentina
3. Germany
4. New Zealand (I think we actually beat Yugoslavia in the pool stages)
5. Spain
6. USA

 , what I remember most from that WC is that game against USA, so that's where it came from probably. I am ashamed, thanks for the correction.

Timid personality?
The guy's a whiny bitch.
I didn't get enough playing time in Detroit, waah-waah.
Orlando reneged on their promise, waah-waah.
There's nothing timid about a whiny bitch.

Even though I hate both players, I hope Yi Jianlian posterizes Darko's whiny bitchass.

Darko subtitles wrote:If he has a kid daughter, I will fuck her hard too

That definitely tops Mike Tyson's "I will eat your children" statement.

He said daughter, not kid daughter. Beyond stupid nonetheless.

don't worry about it, I only remember because my country (New Zealand) had their best ever finish in a bball tournament....the draw did open up for us, but it was still good nonetheless

In that tourney, US lost to Yugoslavia in pool stages, were knocked out by Argentina (I believe) & lost to Spain in 5th-6th playoff game....

I think NZ beat Yugoslavia (who lost twice overall) in pool stages, but after getting by Puerto Rico in quarter finals, we lost to Yugoslavia in semis & then to Germany in 3rd-4th playoff game....

There are no positives from Crapko's little hissy fit. People saying it shows he has fire or whatever are stupid, it shows that he's an immature little prick who needs to be sent back to Europe where his ridiculous sized ego can be stroked in the way he thinks it deserves.

 That was unexpected, but I enjoyed that one too.

Not to excuse his comments, but could a cultural difference be another factor too? Some Croatian on RealGM said that kind of vulgarity is common and is accepted in their culture. Not sure if it's true, but that part was interesting.

Mon Sep 10, 2007 2:08 pm

Lpasso is Serbian and he isn't defending him. I think if it was that common and accepted we'd get alot more stories like "Russian basketballer threatens to fuck referees dog" and such.

Mon Sep 10, 2007 4:26 pm

yes cultural difference is a factor. Vulgarity amongst players is common. Just look at the Malice @ the Palace incident to see the cult. differences. That is supposed to be the worst sporting incident in American sports history, whereas in Europe that would register as way below average.

Also, in America, you can wear whichever teams shirt you want in whichever city you feel like. In Europe, wearing the wrong colours, or being from another city, will get your ass kicked.

Exactly, but there's also a difference between definitions of vulgarity. Swearing in Serbia is more of a figure of speech, it's not meant to be taken literally as it is more frequently in English language. Also, he never said 'kid daughter'.

I'm dissapointed in him. He's one of the best talents I have ever seen and I always thought he's a smart kid, who was wrongly treated like crap by Larry Brown. This puts a new light on him. He's just retarded. I'm done with him, whether he becomes a star or not.

I pretty much co-sign this post. "Swearing in Serbia is more of a figure of speech, it's not meant to be taken literally as it is more frequently in English language." . In our language, I would say almost 100% of it, is trash talking. Of course he's not going to kill him, or do any of crap he said there. But that's not the way how young man and many kid's idol should behave. That's just retarded.

its clear that darko is a fucking idiot, and i dont buy the "its ok cause its from a different culture" shit either. telling someone you will fuck thier mothers mouth and fuck thier daughter hard, is not ok, i dont give 2 shits what culture you are from.

Wed Sep 12, 2007 8:09 am

Freaking hilarious. So angry.

Thu Sep 13, 2007 3:43 am

Retarded reaction, everybody know that european reffs sux, they are corupted and they dont know anything, yeah they robbed Serbia in that game and other two fag' reffs robbed Croatia agains Spain b4 2 year is Belgrade.

They killed our basketball generation in that championship in Belgrade.

European reffs ruin the basketball games around Europe wich is normal here,

If we could have Nba reffs here game will develop much better and there would not be problems.

Thu Sep 13, 2007 7:06 am

fyi, the nba refs aint much better

Sat Sep 15, 2007 9:41 am

lol that video shows why Darko is a "Serbian Gangster".

This got me thinking, who would be included in the 'big ego/I deserve better' starting five, currently in the league.
I can only think of three players right now.

C:
PF: Darko
SF: Yi (And he hasn't even played yet)
SG:
PG: Sarunas

EDIT: I don't want Darko to come after my female relatives.

yo, Darko should play his natural position

Wed Sep 19, 2007 2:08 am

I'm noticing a trend in that line-up.

C: Shaq lol
SG: Ardvydas Macijauskas (not current but close enough)

Wed Sep 19, 2007 2:29 am

Smush Parker, who expects to compete for a starting job with the Heat :-)

Rashard Lewis' agent could be the GM.

Kobe?

Thu Sep 20, 2007 12:38 am

Shaq and Kobe won rings. I'm not saying it's an excuse to have a big ego but they do have something to show and have proven themselves as marquee players in their respective prime.

I would definitely place Vince Carter as SG.

How the hell can anyone bring up that kind of list without mentioning good old Latrell Sprewell.

Thu Sep 20, 2007 8:17 am

what about ak47 himself?

Thu Sep 20, 2007 8:50 am

Haha, NBA players are the best in the world at what they do and everything, but deep down beneath their NBA superstar profile, you really come to realize that (with the exception of notable players such as Tim Duncan and Dikembe Mutombo) NBA players are barely-educated, tactless, crime-ridden morons.

Thu Sep 20, 2007 2:22 pm

Dont generalize, there are plenty of cultured, well spoken, well educated law abiding citizens that play in the NBA.

The problem is that their interviews dont make headlines.
