How bout Tayshaun completely shutting down Mcgrady all game, and Ben completely dominating Yao and the rest of the Rockets on the defensive end... he must have swiped the ball from Yao 5 or 6 times down low! Overall it might have been one of the worst games Detroit's played this season but their defence (and lack of Mcgrady and Yao in the 4th) gave them the win this time.

Looking forward to the Dallas game (Y)

McGrady was injured so it wasnt really shutting down...but he did a good job contesting his shots.

and Ben completely dominating Yao

That was Sheed, Yao was using his size advantage on Ben and Ben was slow to the ball.

It was a sloppily played game if you aske me, but we won so it was a great game. :D

Ben stripped Yao at least 3-4 times underneath the basket and also drew 2-3 offensive fouls on Yao...

And yes, McGrady has been injured, but he still put up 27 points on the Spurs, 25 on Minnesota, and 35 on the Nets this past week. Prince contained him very well all game (until he came out with an injury at the end of the 3rd) and outplayed him on both sides of the ball.

Pistons lose by 37......this is the worst game since 2003 against the Lakers.

Fortunately, a loss is a loss. Still, i can't believe it. Ouch!

Sun Nov 20, 2005 2:45 pm

sheesh.. now that was an ugly game! I stopped paying attention after the first quarter when it was 40-16 :?

Sun Nov 20, 2005 5:59 pm

what the hell went wrong?

40-16 is just pathetic

Yeah i thought our first lost would be like by 5 points, not 37.

and didn't the Pistons lose to the Mavs a few years ago by like:

Sat 9 @ Dallas L 75 - 114
2002-2003 Season.

Mon Nov 21, 2005 12:44 am

yes they did....we could take Mavs in 7 though.

Mon Nov 21, 2005 1:00 am

Holy crap...the first loss of the season and it's by 37! Hopefully they'll bounce back.

They will, all good teams do. Its better to get hammered early in the season rather then late.

But the Pistons did not have their head in the game those first 15 mins, at one point they were down 18-44 and I was like wow. :?

easily handle the Nuggs as Melo has another shitty one.

Billups 19 & 11 (Y) Evans 16 & 6 off the bench (Y)

I think Dumars has made another very good draft pick in Jason Maxiell.

Thu Nov 24, 2005 2:07 pm

lol why? cuz he did some things in mop up time?

Thu Nov 24, 2005 5:05 pm

because he plays hard and makes the most of his time.

Thu Nov 24, 2005 7:30 pm

evans is proving to be a good addition to the pistons, and how is darko! 3 blocks in 9min lol

you can tell your team is playing well when they have as many blocks as turnovers (12)

Thu Nov 24, 2005 10:23 pm

yeah, Evans is the offense off the bench that we were lacking last season, besides Dice. He's got some nice stuffs too!

Fri Nov 25, 2005 9:08 am

Hes a great shooter too. Good game versus denver, I like those jerseys and the amazing shot Chauncey made.

Sun Dec 04, 2005 4:10 pm

wow, they are cruising now. Playing 2 bad games against Knicks & Bulls and in an instant turning in a great 3rd quarter.

Mon Dec 12, 2005 2:31 pm

Clippers played a shocking last quarter today, with 6minutes left they started fouling Ben wallace putting him at the line 20times in the last quarter, and still lost!

Committing only 4 turnovers (clippers only 10) it must have been a dam clean game before the last 6minutes...

The great thing about pistons is that even when two players score low (sheed and prince, 10 and 9) we still have the ability to chalk up big scores because of the depth of the team (Y)

Pistons 2-0 on their road trip, with Utah tomorow to finish it off, mark that down as a win

Pistons going 14-1 in December!

Mon Dec 12, 2005 6:04 pm

15-2 now, that's amazing. Given the teams tendency to cruise i'd think we'd be 12-5 now.

Still playing average but able to pull in wins. Good to see Delfino out there.

Fri Dec 16, 2005 3:34 pm

you know you have a good team when your starters are all in the top-8 of votes for the all-star game

Fri Dec 16, 2005 3:58 pm

that's pretty good....maybe Detroit will have 3 all-stars this year.

Ben Wallace probably, but you can't deny Billups & Hamilton the way they've been playing. Billups is 2nd to Iverson @ the PG spot, and Hamilton to Wade.

btw, Ming is leading votes again, and he isnt even best C out West.

Fri Dec 16, 2005 4:10 pm

the whole Ming this is gay.. anyone can clearly see he can't lead a team with the 0-8 record rockets had this year without tmac
KG/duncan race should be interesting though..

but billups or hamliton or even both will get in this year.
arenas and maybe carter are the only threats

could easily make a very racist joke about the people voting for him... but i wont

Fri Dec 16, 2005 5:07 pm

look how many votes grant Hill has....his 7 points vs NY must have been amazing :)

no Mourning?

Sat Dec 17, 2005 10:14 am

i think it's common knowledge that the voting system is flawed.

14 games into season, darko is actually playing less then he did under larry brown last year
