I guarentee the Pistons win the next two games.

You "guarentee" it? Based on the fact that you're a fortune teller? You confident enough to wager your membership on these forums on it? I'm game if you are.

Wade vs. LeBron would be oh so good for NBA TV ratings and maybe come down to famous matchups of the decade or two if they both consistently meet in the playoffs

I could never wager anything that would have me rooting for the Pistons, I just think the are wide awake now, and won't lose again.
I REALLY hope I'm wrong though.

So now we’re asking: Can the Cavs win this thing?
We know what ’Sheed thinks. "Even the sun shines on a dog’s ass," he said after the game.
Foxsports quote right there.
Honestly I hate Rasheed so much....worse than Artest sometimes.

I'd do that in a heartbeat, although you are more valued here considering I never post

... I'm not even a biased Pistons fan (really, I'm not- while everybody in the country was picking Detroit in 4 this series I picked them in 6) and I'm very confident that they will beat Cleveland the next 2 games. I believe game 5 could be a blowout - the Pistons are embarassed right now and are gonna come out looking to make a big statement.

The Cavs really need this next game. If they can win one in the Palace and come back to Cleveland up one, they'll have confidence even if they lose on their homecourt by having won in Detroit already.
Even if the Pistons win, the Heat appear to finally be playing up to potential... hopefully someone can pull the upset. I don't like the Spurs or the Pistons much, but at least Pop and his team show respect even in defeat.
Wed May 17, 2006 9:53 am
Flip and his TEAM don't show respect in defeat? Since when is Rasheed Wallace the whole TEAM..? Everybody knows Rasheed is a bad boy, he talks a big game, lots of smack, he's been like this his whole career. You can't plant his faults on the entire Pistons team.
I know that Ben Wallace was pretty furious in the interviews after game 4, but he didn't disrespect anyone. He was angry that he and his team "played like shit" in a game where a teammate guaranteed a victory.
Other than Rasheed Wallace, the Pistons are a very respectful organization managed by one of the most respectable professional athletes of all time. Joe Dumars is a legend in the Motor City, ranking up there with the likes of Al Kaline and Steve Yzerman.

looks like ESPN Australia has Game 6, which will be in Cleveland which is shitty because the camera there is too low

No. Chauncey was pretty rude in his interviews as well. He pretty much refused to give the Cavs any credit in either of their wins. Along with some of the comments made by Ben Wallace and Rasheed, I think they're pretty disrespectful overall.
doesn't matter if it's managed by Joe Dumars. He isn't the one playing on the floor.
I don't remember the exact words, said, but I've heard enough. I know I won't make you hate the Pistons as a fan, so I wont even try.

I picked up the same kind of unwarranted swagger from crap hamilton. These guys won one championship and act like they are a dynasty. Regular season records only mean home court advantage and nothing else in these playoffs.
Wed May 17, 2006 4:19 pm
if anything detroit's nonchalance will be there downfall. exactly what type of pressure is cleveland feeling? absolutely zero. A team with nothing to lose is dangerous, a team with nothing to lose and added incentive to win even more.
Wed May 17, 2006 4:36 pm
and what pressure is Detroit feeling? none....they've been through much tougher situations against much better teams (Nets, Pacers, Heat & Spurs). Now that Cleveland has stepped to the challenge Detroit will wake up.
2yrs ago, easily beat Nets in first 2 games, lost focus lose next 3 then decide to start playing and win in 7 in convincing fashion. Not to mention that comeback from 3-1 down against Orlando.
Wed May 17, 2006 4:47 pm
You're hanging the pistons hat on them beating an 8 seed years ago? Lol, it doesn't matter what they've done in the past. in 2001 the lakers swept the spurs, and beat them 4-1 the next year before collapsing at home to them in 2003. It meant nothing that they won 8 of the previous 9 playoff games. All that mattered in 2003 was the fact the spurs beat them in that series.
Wed May 17, 2006 4:49 pm
i'm inclined to think that a team saying they don't feel pressure are feeling pressure. At the very least they are thinking about it... which is basically the same thing. to me the way they are talking about this series reminds me of san antonio (except far ruder). Not in what they say, but because i feel absolutely no urgency. I mean what exactly is the benefit of underestimating your opponent?
but i guess we'll see...
Wed May 17, 2006 4:51 pm
Magius, words can only carry you so far. As you eldued to, just becuase a team saying they dont feel the pressure doesnt mean they dont have thoughts creep into their mind. Just like saying you will win doesnt gaurantee victory...
Wed May 17, 2006 5:02 pm
thats why i said i'm 'inclined'
Wed May 17, 2006 7:32 pm
funny thing about the 2-2 situation is that the Pistons bandwagon has gotten much smaller.
Wed May 17, 2006 7:52 pm
Same thing happened with the suns bandwagon in the lakers series.
Wed May 17, 2006 8:51 pm
So whats happening with Rasheeds ankle, is it serious/a little sore/not an issue ??
I havent heard anything about it....
Wed May 17, 2006 9:35 pm
"I know I won't be 100 percent," he said. "But I will be good enough to run up and down that court. I've had worse than this. I'll be ready."
Thu May 18, 2006 10:20 am
Halftime, Cavs up by 5. I really would like to see the Cavaliers advance. I mean, if they win this game, it actually could be remotely possible. Winner of Game 5 wins the series 83% of the time.
If Cavaliers advance, that basically changes everyone's playoff brackets. The series everyone predicted to go down easy and quick is turning into a heated one.
If they can take this far it'll help Lebron's legacy.
Thu May 18, 2006 11:13 am
It's not over til it's over....i wish people would refrain from making predictions in these playoffs. This has been the most well balanced playoffs i've ever seen.
Thu May 18, 2006 11:48 am
LOL...again i ask...what now bitches? Cavs up 3 to 2...take that and sniff it.
let's see your friggin swagger now detroit. Dogshit?..laughable.
