Has Webber arrived in Philly yet?
Fri Feb 25, 2005 7:43 pm
I'm sure he had some problems with passing physicals or something...
plus Iguodala has his #4... didn't he have #2 in G State? he'll probably go back to that

Yeah, Baron Davis is going to have his Physical in Oakland today, so we should see how he is.

I heard that Webber is going to pay him $10,000 to get #4 back.

I'm so excited about Baron to the Warriors, I'm a fan of his, and I was really getting dissapointed with his situation in NOH. The Warriors should make the playoffs, and Baron is a playoff beast.
Kenny Anderson and Chris Crawford waived
Anyone think their team would be interested in Kenny Anderson?
Atlanta general manager Billy Knight said he'd talk to Payton about playing for Atlanta, but the Hawks don't really care since he's an expiring contract and doesn't fit into their plans for next season. Watch his status closely as Payton could wind up with a playoff team and end up with decent fantasy value again. In the meantime, put him on your bench given that he may miss several games due to the situation.

I believe Malik Rose will start at Center , if not theyll have Kurt at center and sweetney starting the 4 spot , maybe ROse will start . I got no clue what Herb is thinking.
Thomas is the GM, not Herb Williams. And Isaih's done a horrible job. We need a new GM that will start over and free up cap room.
Will Antoine Walker get his #8 back, or will Al Jefferson keep it? And did you guys notice something about yesterday's games? Webber and Mashburn didn't play, due to "Acquired via trade today", but Rodney Rogers did, and he was included in their last trade. What? Where? Why?
I have no idea how Rogers got in NY for the game, but Webber couldn't.
Webber will be playing for Philly Saturday in the game where they host the Kings. And Peja might play too.

Yeah, they were talking about it during the game on TNT last night. He's going to pay the rookie the money to get his #.

Webber is wearing #4 and Iggy's wearing #9.

Payton was just bought out. Heard it on Fox Sports. Link will come.

Good news for Payton... now he'll be able to sign with a team of his choice - if there are takers out there!
Sat Feb 26, 2005 11:23 am
Damn C-Webb took Iggy's number.

Back to Seattle!!

I heard it's down to four teams -- Phoenix, Sacramento, Miami, and Boston.
Phoenix and Sacramento are almost guaranteed backup spots but he'd be backing up two really good point guards. They're both close to home, and since his mother's just been diagnosed with cancer, location is something he has to consider.
While I think he should start for Miami, relieving Wade of point guard duties, and sending Damon Jones to the bench, I'd expect him to come off the bench again. I don't know. His role isn't as obvious on this team, but he'd be on a sure contender.
Boston seems most likely, as he and Ainger were already in extension talks before the trade. He'd go back to his starting spot, this time with Antoine Walker as a teammate. The Celts could secure a playoff spot with attaining Payton.

Payton going to Boston... thatd be huge for the Celtics... Antoine, Pierce, Ricky and Payton and Jefferson... heck- they got talent!
Sat Feb 26, 2005 12:11 pm
I can't see Payton starting in Miami ahead of Wade, that would be an utter slap in his face for the hard work he's done this season. It'll be interesting to see if he ends up back in Boston.
Sat Feb 26, 2005 12:13 pm
if he went to miami he would probably start next to wade not inplace of him.
Sat Feb 26, 2005 12:15 pm
GP will never go to Miami, that's crazy.

I never said that. I meant relieving Wade of point guard duties, since his natural position is shooting guard.

Everyone forgot that D.Wade is/was a shooting guard not point guard. Better change that in my next roster update.
Sat Feb 26, 2005 1:34 pm
Damon Jones is doign good at the point, and the team got Steve Smith?

I don't care if he's doing good, Gary Payton > Damon Jones.
I'm still confident though that he'll return to the Celts.
