Do you have a link???

I like the trade because I like Minny and Philly and hate New York and don't care about Atlanta, but Hotlanta is just freeing up cap. KVH just sucks, stupid Layden.

we were just talking about kvh being traded in another thread, everyone together now, philly needs a center. maybe we can wish this one to happen too. i don't understand atl's logic though, brandon's salary will come off soon since he has already said he'll retire, but i don't think they are anywhere near being attractive enough to land any big name fa's next year no matter how much cap room they create. i remember reading that their front office mess has a lot of players not wanting to go there because they appear to be unstable, and are constantly changing their roster.

i agree with lebron, layden gets my vote for gm of the year. i thought it was near impossible to find someone to take van horn, but hope lives on.

Wolves and Philly both win..Philly got a extream inside scorer in Robinson and he could fill out the scoring sheet real quickly...Wolves win cuz they got a star that could still produce..so the lineup for the winners would probably look sumthing like this...

Minny

C-Olowakandi
PF-Garnett
SF-Spreewell
SG-Sczerbiak
PG-Cassell

that's a solid lineup right there...maybe finally Wolves will get past first rd..

Philly

C-Coleman
PF-Thomas
SF-Robinson
SG-Iverson
PG-Snow

that maybe one of the top lineup in the EAST..and Iverson finally has sumone to pass to that can finish..good job by the Sixer Gm

looks like Allan Houstan or McDyess depend on his injury statis but it looks like Houstan is gonna become the leader of the Knicks now

damn damn damn damn damn damn. I'm pissed. No Sprewell next year. WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Now I got to see Keith van Horn again?( i watched him wit the Nets)Watching the Knicks play next year will be even harder. This is baddd!!!! Keith van horn better put up some numbers and play some DEFENSE!
Philly does well in this trade. They pick anther scorer to help AI and he is better than Van Horn.

T-wolfs, they sure turning there roster around trying to get out the 1st round and showing KG that they are trying to get solid players to help them compete for a ring.

Atlanta, well, nothing much to say much to say.

it seems like there are a lot of teams in need of salary cap relief more then atlanta. i could be wrong here, but outside of terry & glover, do they have any upcoming players to resign? perhaps they are positioning themselves to sign KG. i don't know. i'm not sure what atlanta's reason for doing this. perhaps some ATL fan can fill me in.

big dog, statistically speaking, had a fairly decent year. couldn't have been his fault why the hawks didn't make the playoffs. as of now, it looks like ATL is a lottery bound team again. Ratliff isn't happy, newble is signing with the cavs, and glover may be lost as well. These aren't superstars but 2 of those guys were starters and 1 was solid bench player. Boris Diaw so far looks like great in the summer leagues, but still i think the hawks future doesn't look good.

Wow! the T-wolves are now looking scary... :o
Philly looking god with Big Dog
NY anal raped like Farber or whatever
hotlanta isn't looking to bright getting Brandon.
I think T-wolves have good chance to be title contenders with that lineup. Even if in the West they might be a threat to LA, Sac, and Dallas. Think of it
C. Kandi Man---good player and inside presence on D
PF. KG---no comment, not a big fan of his but admit he is definately one of top players in L, not best, think duncan is best.
SF. Spree or Wally>really, I think Spree is still a force to be reckoned
SG. Wally or Spree>with. And Wally is still going up
PG. Cassel and My man! Troy!! Yeah!!!!!!!! :D
Bench--> who though? except Troy or Cassel.
how do i make a fancy signature?

awesome trade... :)
i can see the 6ers chances of returning to the finals with high hopes..
Twolves look good in the west now... theyll be a definite championship
contender next yr with the added spree, sam, kandi, both wolves/6ers got sumtin for nothing... :D
only thing left to do for the 6ers is to get a better center.. DC cant do it
by himself...

this makes no sense for the Knicks, Keith Van Horn has been in the league since 98 and hasn't done anything, what makes them think he will turn it around now? On top of that they have added another soft shooter... Hope Mcdyess can play some good/82 game season ball. For the Knicks sake it would be good if this deal fell through.

Well... More than 4 teams and 4 players envolved?

Marc Jackson, Greg Buckner, Kurt Thomas, Scot Pollard, Keon Clark envolved...?

All here... http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/article ... 84359.html

Pretty good deal all around. The big winners are obviously the Timberwolves since they had nothing to lose by dealing Brandon's contract. Getting Spree in return makes it an excellent move.

The Sixers are probably got the second best deal. KVH had his moments but things just didn't work out as planned. As mentioned on ESPN.com, Big Dog gives them a legitimate second scoring option.

KVH isn't such a bad player for the Knicks. They have plenty of other options in the post, while KVH can matchup with taller small forwards much better than Spree can. However, Spree was the Knicks' emotional leader and KVH can't match Spree's heart and competitive fire.

Atlanta probably got the worst of the deal for now, but the cap relief will give them some flexibility in the future. Also, it's not as if there were breaking up a championship team.

All around, pretty good deal. Something that's rare in these times of overpaid players and luxury tax.

Woah. big news!

I like the T-Wolves after this. they will be awesome to watch. I think kandi will have his break out year this year. (Y) Kandi, Garnett, Spree, wally, Cassell. wow. sweet. (Y) Philly looking better (Y). NY are just dumb. Atlanta don't tickle my fancy at all.

I hope the deal becomes official.

Great move for the Wolves and Sixers. Spree gives the Wolves someone who is willing to shoot the ball in tight games and he finally gets to return to his natural position which is also good. The Sixers finally get that second star to give Iverson's back a rest.

IMO minnesota appears that they wouldn't resign KG next season. But i think this could be the year of minnesota if there would be no injuries. I still do think they need to get rid of Wallygator because he's to slow.

Besides the opinion all of us have about Van Horn, at least he's not as expensive as Spree is, I love the way Spree plays and I understand he was playing a position hard for him being undersized but what Layden was looking for was to get rid of that kind of money Spree is earning, knowing that he couldn't use Spree in a position where he really can play (SG) it was a good trade. Not that Van Horn is active or makes other fans jump from their seats like Spree is but he will help in some other way.

I'm glad for Phily & Minny as well, but what happened to Atlanta? I hope Brandon's contract expires soon, that's the only way I can think Atlanta did good there.
