Greg Oden's father says Oden will declare
Well, over the last couple days I was wondering wether he will stay or not despite the fact I was convinced from day one he was one and done. He seemed like the sorta kid who wanted to stay in school, but I don't blame him for leaving. Then again, Mike Beasleys mum said he would be attending KSU despite the coaching change, now Michael seems to have his eyes set on Memphis, so until Greg Oden himself says he will declare, who knows.
I believe Conley and Cook are also going, despite Conley's numerous "I'm staying" comments. Good luck to all of them.

This isn't surprising, and I'll be stunned if Greg doesn't leave, but I am 99% sure Mike is going to stay.

If I was Conley I would leave. He would be the best PG in the draft, IMO he is NBA ready and Ohio State without Lewis, Oden, Cook = not so great. Plus next years draft is loaded with PG's ie. OJ, Derrick Rose, Ty Lawson, Darren Collison, Javaris Crittenton, etc. when his only real threat at PG this draft is like Acie Law. Why is Daequan leaving though? If he stayed, he could be a big time player for OSU next year and really boost his stock. I like him, but its a dumb decision.
Conley's dad is gonna be Gregs agent

Offtopic: Conley Sr. had ups!

Yes. With both Durant and Oden declaring, I'm going to really start hoping the lottery ball bounce in the Bucks favour. Hopefully a no. 2 pick, as then there will be little debate who to take first and will come out winners regardless.

Good! I will see Greg Oden in Bulls Uniform next year. I can't wait

Unless you're aware of some secret arrangement the rest of us aren't, I wouldn't think that's in any way guaranteed. Of course, I certainly wouldn't be against that outcome.

I mean, the Knicks did give the Bulls one of their first-rounders during the Eddy Curry trade, I think. But I don't think they'll get that high a pick to grab Oden.

They have the Knicks' pick again this year so it's certainly a possibility. Stranger things have happened, but the odds aren't in their favour.

I wish Philly would get Oden or Durant.
Sat Apr 14, 2007 10:20 pm
If they did land that pick what would become of Wallace or would they simply trade Oden for Gasol or something. Anyhow im still excited for next season and with Durant and Oden(most likely) going to enter the league its gonna be fun to watch and follow. I wonder who would win ROY.

If Oden goes to the Bulls
C- Oden
PF- Wallace
The Bulls finally have a low post presence on offense.

Won't happen as long as the Sixers are still making a playoff push. If we lose to Orlando today we are out though.

Uh oh, hopefully. But it's very unlikely

It seems like there will be an exciting year of basketball for Memphis this year with the Tigers getting Derrick Rose and possibly Mike Beasley, and now theres a good chance the Grizzlies could finally bring in a big name product in Oden or Durant.

i thought the knicks 1st rounder that the bulls have is top 3 protected

No. That's how smart Isiah is.

It's bottom protected, not top. If it goes near the end of the round (25-30) then it's protected.
I don't think the Knicks pick will yield Oden, but if it does it doesn't mean anything to Wallace. The Spurs didn't trade Robinson just because they got Duncan.

no team with a brain would trade oden for gasol

That little mock draft generator is fun.
It came up with Seattle winning #2 and drafting Durant.
I WISH.

Imagine if Rashard stayed and taught Durant how to not use your size down low and instead play like a 4 foot point guard.

Haha you mean
C- Oden
as low-post presence on offense, count out Big Free-Throw-On-The-Backboard-Shooting-6ppg Ben Wallace.
Sun Apr 15, 2007 8:35 am
Yeah.
But I know most Bulls fans are smart enough to get what I meant.

Once the Bulls get Oden I could take 2 approach.
Plan A.
C - Oden
PF - Thomas
Trade Wallace for a team in need for a big man for their 2008 or 2009 first rounder.
Plan B.
C - Oden
PF - Wallace/Thomas
Keeping Wallace on the team will provide leadership and veteran prescense and he will teach everything Oden needs to know about how defense works in the Nba.
For some reason I like Plan A. much better.

i guess i am one of the few people who hopes to get durant. i think he will end up being the better player. there is the old logic that says if you got a good big center you have to take him as they are so rare, it is that logic that has caused things like jordan going 3rd or olakwandi(sp?) going first. i like durant and want the celtics to get the second pick so we get him instead.

Beasley is going to KState.
I guess Memphis could count on getting Oden or Durant, since they have a 46.5% chance of getting the 1 or 2 pick.
