might aswell since MIP and MVP are posted.

I originally had Foye as my first pick but now that i hear hes on the 3rd team for Minny, it has to Brandon Roy.

as for the above options, those are the ones who will have sufficient PT and skill to win it

I think Rudy Gay will take the honors, Since Gasol is out, he will be one of the main scorers for a while.

I'm going with Adam Morrison, maybe you should've included Rajon Rondo is this poll, he's definately shown he has game (yeah I know, preseason).

My vote goes to Gay. Morrison and Roy will be the only other rookies with the same amount of PT as him, but I think Gay will be a higher option in terms of scoring and is at least as talented as the other two. With Pau out, Gay instantly becomes a main option, and on top of that Jerry West said Rudy has the potential to be an All Star every season. As long as he isn't held on the bench for no particular reason, I have to go with him for ROY.

Rondo will be in a timeshare with Telfair - barring an injury, I cant see him winning.

I picked Shelden Williams... If he gets time (thats a big if) then I like his potential

Adam Morrison or Randy Foye.

I'm leaning towards Morrison more though because he will be the Bobcats' number 1 scoring option. He's the player the Bobcats needed since they seriosuly lacked a scorer. (Y)

I'm excited for him and he will start slow but I think he has what it takes to average 20 points a night...

Randy Foye, if he steps right into whatever role the Wolves want him in, could win the award. People have called hi ma star... I just hope Mike James doesn't steal all of his touches on offence. I'm sure KG will be happy and the Wolves cna make the playoffs again!

I don't think Morrison will be the number one option for the Cats. If Okafor is healthy he's the go to guy on that team and then theres Gerald Wallace. Morrison will go 2 or 3 IMO.

I'm surprised anyone thinks Gay will win it....I will be surprised if he makes All-Rookie 1st Team....Gay won't be starting, it's only pre-season....once the real games start, Gay can go back to bench where he belongs....

as for who I think will win ROY, Adam Morrison....there are no standout 20ppg rookies this year & it might only take someone averaging 14-15ppg to get it done for ROY honours....that being said, once Morrison gets in his groove, 14-15ppg shouldn't be a problem....

I think his main contender is Brandon Roy....

This is probably really off topic and really stupid... but I just wanted to say how much I hate how Roy and Foye rhyme...... being in Aussieland, I often forget which is which

morrison got my vote because i think he has the best chance to shine...there's nowhere to go but up for the bobcats. I think being a 1-2-3 scorer is too high for him though. Okafor, Wallace and its not like a feltons a bad option either. Barring injury i see morrison playing a similar role to ben gordon for the bulls his first year... just with more PT...streaky as hell, but good enough to have a few 30 point games

This might sound funny but i actully picked Barganai (not because hes on the Raptors  ) but because hes got a pretty soild game watched him play the preason games and he was pretty smooth but ya its preseason and ya Rondo kicked ass too but meh if i have to pick som1 else its Marcus Willams ya i know he might not got as much minutes and i dont know y he went so low in the draft but if god for bud Jason Kidd has a injury this guy will have to shine to help the Nets

I can see Roy winning it for sure if Miles is shipped away.

Morrison will win. He's going to have the biggest role on his team out of all those guys. Other guys I'd consider would be Tyrus Thomas, Randy Foye, or Brandon Roy, but all of those guys, if they start to slack a bit, can easily be replaced by the depth at their position. Morrison, on the other hand, is head and shoulders above any other guy who would start at his position (aside from Gerald Wallace, who will start along side him anyway because either him or Morrison will move to SG).

I went with Brandon Roy. It's probably a mistake to judge summer league performance too heavily, but he looked bored out there scoring at 67% FG and 69% 3PT (usually playing point). He was clearly overqualified.

Gay has been pretty impressive in the pre-season though...i can't believe the Rockets gave up this guy.

Gay might not start for like the first few games of the season, but if he is playing very good off the bench, someone will have to get out of the starting lineup. Either it be Jones or Miller.
