NBA Black Box

Postby KDawg295 on Tue Jun 27, 2006 6:14 am

on nba.com there is a pic of a black box with the nba logo on it. The site says that Commish David Stern will open the box on draft day.

The site says:
On June 28, NBA Commissioner David Stern will introduce the NBA's newest employees, as he announces the Class of 2006. Before that, however, he will unveil the contents of the black box below -- sure to change the way you see the game. Check back Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET to see what's in the black box.

So what do u think is in the box?... i'm thinking maybe a new basketball with different colors?..

Maybe it's Latrell Spreewell? Or Chris Anderson and Cliff Robinson's weed? Nuts for Reggie Evans?

Maybe its a piece of paper that says no more flopping so that Jason Collins, Reggie Evans, and Manu Ginobili can go home.

Haha maybe it's going to look like just a ball but there's really a camera in the ball. Lol it would be an interesting camera angle.

The NBA apparently is getting a new ball, the box may be just that.

no its not a new ball the article just says until its open everyone is assuming its a new basketball.

"But until then, everyone else is likely to speculate that the NBA is unveiling a new official ball that will replace the current one in the NBA. "

You also can't say "no it's not a new ball"
it hasn't been revealed yet, you can't can't definetively say it's not a new ball.

I clearly said "the box may be just that"

How does a new ball change the way the game is watched? People think that they're in Europe?

Maybe its a bunch of rule changes on a peice of paper that will bring the quality of the game back to how it was in the 90's.

hahaha, my loaded friend just spent like $200+ on an official NBA basketball like last week. I don't see how a new ball would change the way we look at the NBA.

It may not change the way we look at the NBA, but it will get ratings up for the draft :P

How silly is that. What was wrong with the usual ball that didn't look X-Men like?

the ball better have david sterns face on it, but then more players are likely to kick it into the stands.

new ball design looks dumb.
