Exactly right!

If the Bulls picked up Wallace and a decent rookie, they'd be a championship contending team too.

I still think they should try to get KG first, then get Wallace second.

One thing I recently learned about KG is that he has played over 30,000 minutes in his career. That's a career for most hall of famers.
I don't know how much he's got left in his tank.
Same thing with Big Ben, he's aging, and won't be deserving of a max contract in 3 years.
What type of contract Ben gets is going to be very, very interesting.

yeah considering he can't shoot, he can't shoot free throws.. defense and rebounds is what he brings to the table

42% is nothing to be ashamed of. I don't think that Big Ben would help out the Bulls that much anyways. Scoring low-post men is what they need. Ben seems fine in Detroit as well.

thats aload of crap... he would help any team
Especially the bit about free throws... 42% sucks ass and he should be ashamed
And i dont think its worth posting "bulls going after ben wallace" because I think every team that can afford him will be looking into it.

If you dont think the thread is "worth" it, why post in it?

Because I can...

I don't think so. If I see you spam once more this week, you're toast. Word.

I'm not totally sure about everyone wanting Ben Wallace. He's all about defense and practically nothing else. Plus he's not getting any younger and he's bound to slow down and start getting pushed around in the post more often ala Shaq aka The MDE. I'd say he's best off in Detroit and won't exactly fit on most other teams. The Bulls should focus on getting a real star player, someone that can produce on both ends of the floor and KG easily comes to mind in that field.
Tue May 16, 2006 6:01 pm
unless Bulls can offer a contract min yrs of 4 starting @ 12mill then they probably have no chance. Besides, they need a scoring big man, their D is good enough.

Id like to know how im spamming... Last time I checked I was allowed to say what I think on a forum without every opinion being automatically deemed wrong. You argue what i say for the sake of arguement, like in the Debt thread you were argueing the exact same thing I was, but with different words. And for some reason Im wrong?

They might not 100% want him, but you dont think they will look into getting his situation?

I can understand why the Bulls would want Big Ben....imagine the toughness he would bring to an already tough-minded team & coach....put Big Ben in the middle, Chandler can play as a weak-side help defender/shot-blocker, Nocioni has balls of steel & Hinrich is as tough as nails....this would have the makings of an old-school Bulls team (I'm talking Jerry Sloan years, not MJ-Pip years)....
all that being said, can't see Wallace leaving Mo-Town....
Tue May 16, 2006 9:22 pm
I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of Ben Wallace but if he became a Bull I'd probably change my tune. Obviously it would be a fine move for Chicago, he's not exactly teetering on the edge of retirement so even though giving him a huge contract could come back to haunt them (and I don't think they should come anywhere near the $16.8 million he could demand) it could be worth making a pitch.
It will likely be a fruitless endeavour though. Even with the whispers of him being unhappy with shot attempts and his recent change in representation, I expect at most he'll just play the field to get a good deal with the Pistons and remain in the Motor City.
Tue May 16, 2006 9:34 pm
i dont think he will leave the pistons, they probably dont want to lose him
Tue May 16, 2006 10:41 pm
Pistons will not be title competitors if they lose Ben....he will be resigned at all costs.
Wed May 17, 2006 1:44 am
I think this would be a bad move. Chicago have got a solid scoring backcourt but whenever they face teams who have a good inside presence and can score. They alredy have Tyson Chandler and Michael Sweetney who are putting up 13 points a night between them and Ben Wallce will add what? 9 points more max. They need an inside scorer who can get them points in the paint (eg - Kevin Garnett and Jermaine O'Neal)

When I play Dynasty in Live 06 he always signs with Atlanta at the end of the 05-06 season. Now thats a really bad choice. If he's not happy with the $$$ then go to Chi town but I'm sure Big Ben won't be that dumb and he'll stay with the Pistons.
Wed May 17, 2006 5:06 am
they don't really need him since they're getting the knicks 1st round pick
Wed May 17, 2006 8:53 am
i believe that ben will be overpaid no matter where he ends up.
Wed May 17, 2006 9:56 am
If he ends up staying in Detroit, he definitely won't be considered overpaid. I'm sure that every person in the state of Michigan would say it's acceptable for him to be paid the maximum... if he goes elsewhere, depending on the situation, he will probably be overpaid for his duties.
