Only 33 and says he "ran out of gas". I'm sure jazz fans are relieved because he cost them a ton of cap over the years and was probably lazy in the offseason considering how deeply flawed his game was.
So even if he's no Patrick Ewing ( or shawn bradley for that matter) but he did stick around and see the nba finals twice. Donated a kidney to his sister too. Another "character" from the 90s is gone and the league has less and less personality without these guys.

Didn't see that one coming. He had his moments, probably more than he's given credit for but I don't know if I'd call him one of the great personality of the 90s.

It's ok..you're just feelin a little nostalgic. There are far more interesting characters in the league right now than ostertag ever was...ron artest for example.

I watch every jazz game. Noone knows more about this guy then the jazz fans, noone hardly ever gave him credit. So I dont think anyone can talk crap about him. He is a way better guy than alot of these thugs like Artest and K-Mart.

thank god he's gone I HATED him in his Utah days (in the 90s)
