I think Pistons fans would like this trade.

Your thoughts?

i too would love to see what potential darko has, if detroit is smart they will get what they can for him. each season he sits on the bench his stock goes down the drain even further. i personally think it works out for everyone

He'll show off his talent if the trade goes down.

I think this one rapes Pistons. Why would they give away TWO players for Cato? Arroyo is expendable, but i don't think Joe D wants to ride the playoffs with 2 point guards.

Magic will definitely get the better part of the deal if this goes down. Catos a serviceable centre and all, but he hasn't even played that much this season. It'd be nice to see what Dwight and Darko can do in the front court.

Orlando already has Jameer, Steve and Deiner. Arroyo would be a nice backup to Jameer if a trade for Francis went down.

The trade sounds ridiculous...Darko & Arroyo for Cato?? But Cato's contract is expiring which is another issue.....I would also like to see Darko having the chance to shine.....oh he will...

Darko to Orlando..mmh...not a bad idea for Orlando. Detroit, in the other hand, would probably swap Darko for Cato but I don't know about getting rid of a point guard specially when you don't know what may happen to Hunter throughout the season.

Blah, i want someone young too. Cato is a big body yes, but we have 4 bigs (Ben, Sheed, Dyce, Dale) capable of guarding those big-time front court players. I woulnd mind like Cato and another player or draft pick.

I reckon they are trying to go after Nelson, but Orlando are gonna try to suck some more outta Detroit.

Maybe for Grant Hill

Would anyone do Darko and Arroyo for Cato and Nelson?

I think i would, i like Nelson, but he'd have to accept a bench role. Limited at that.

If the deal goes through, that would be a great move for Darko and for the Magic as well. He would probably start as a backup for Howard, or he could be in starting 5 as PF and Howard as C. IMO, he has potential for starting 5 in Orlando.

What a waste of a third pick if the deal goes through, Pistons should've just let Memphis have it if they knew they wouldn't need it. :shake:

I think Pistons should go after a guard like Mike James. He contributed offensively and defensively on the championship run in 2004. Defense is Pistons-typical thing and the 3-pointers a guard can make is an extra ability to them. But i can't think of any such guard now.

By the way if i was Magic GM i wouldnt trade Nelson away. He improved his game and still can do more.

I doubt it will go through, Detroit's main problem is their soon-to-be exploding salary now that TP will get $13M instea of $1M and Ben Wallace must be resigned, and Darko is a cheap 7 footer in the middle who still has lots of potential, that combination is pretty hard to get these days.

Plus, after seeing Mehmet Okur finally achieve his breakout year in Utah, Dumars has to be kicking himself for not holding out 1 more year. He's gonna remember that with Darko.

Detroit was built on cast off guys who weren't considered good enough for their old teams, it would be ironic if Dumars made the same mistake, especially with Orlando, the team that gave them Ben Wallace.

I think Mehmet Okur could contribute more than any of the Pistons' reserve big men.
