Who would you take?

Simple question. I'd take Brand over the others. I heard Charles Barkley call Tim Duncan 'the most dominant player in the world', and laughed, so I wanted to know if everyone else agrees with him. These are the four best that I could think of.

Statistically speaking, Brand is the best choice. But Duncan can be legitimately viewed as the greatest power forward of all time, so it has to be timmy.

Sat Feb 11, 2006 5:38 pm

id take howard or stoudemire....

Sat Feb 11, 2006 5:41 pm

Juwan Horward or Damon Stoudemire(sic) over Duncan or Brand?

Sat Feb 11, 2006 7:42 pm

this thread is the definiton of rhetorical question. put karl malone, kg, td, and sir charles there, and then maybe we have something worth anything.

Sat Feb 11, 2006 7:51 pm

Yeah you did miss out on the "Mailman" but probably out of those Elton Brand.

Sat Feb 11, 2006 7:53 pm

id take Brand

Sat Feb 11, 2006 8:07 pm

i'd take Stoudemire..but from your poll..i'll take Timmy (Y)

It's Stoudamire. That's two different surnames.

Sat Feb 11, 2006 8:28 pm

I'd take Zach Randolph over any of them anyday

Sat Feb 11, 2006 9:17 pm

Sat Feb 11, 2006 9:33 pm

Out of those, i'd choose Timmy.

What are you correcting him on? Amare's last name is Stoudemire. Damon's is Stoudamire.

Sat Feb 11, 2006 10:17 pm

Duncan
Garnett
Brand
Stoudemire
O'Neal
Gasol

....in that order

Shit, that's no question, Duncan, in my mind, is the best PF of all time. Hats off to Malone, but Duncan, he's something else.

Which PF would you most like to have on your team?

Just count the rings and you'll know.

Although I'd take Duncan at Center, not Pf.

Sun Feb 12, 2006 12:58 am

I'd take Garnett@PF all day every day.

Sun Feb 12, 2006 2:28 am

Right now, the best PF is Duncan. Individually it's KG, but best for your team, Duncan.

Although I'd pick Dwight Howard over these guys to build my team around. He's just crazy. Who else grabs 12+ rebounds in only their second year?

Sun Feb 12, 2006 2:34 am

Jermaine O'Neal hasn't shown us much of anything after his MVP-esque season a few years ago and Pau Gasol has only recently shown that he can be a leader on his team.

I'd go with Duncan. More rings and he's a proven winner.

Sun Feb 12, 2006 3:11 am

I'd take Duncan if it was for a little while because he is getting old so i'll take Jermaine instead if I want him to stay for a longer period of time.

Sun Feb 12, 2006 9:31 am

Duncan is the most overrated player I can think of. His free throw shooting is horrible, but Brand shoots near 80%. Brand also has a good mid range game, is averaging more points (6) and more blocked shots per game. He is shooting the ball at 53% compared to 49% for Duncan, and he's HEALTHY. Why does everyone think Duncan is so much better?

Sun Feb 12, 2006 10:00 am

Duncan has been injured this season, I don't know who told you he was healthy. He hasn't really missed too many games, but he's had problems with his ankles, and hasn't had the same quickness and lift all year. I'm probably the biggest Brand fan here, but Duncan is a better player. I mean when Duncan is not there, his defensive impact is clearly noticable.

Brand has been playing great, and he's the easy choice after Duncan, but he's not better than Duncan.

Sun Feb 12, 2006 10:14 am

Nobody told me he was healthy, you misread my post.
