Man, it's so super-fast-fowarded. I saw it before. Un-impressive. The dude will not make it in the NBA.

That's athleticism for you. A solid 3 cm off the ground.

That man is a fucking monster. And will never do anything in the NBA should he reach it.

Yes, depending how fast he's able to react and how fast his arm is able to move.

But seriously I think he could be great under a good coach.

Yes, a lot of players do that. In fact the real good shot blockers tend to do that ie Tim Duncan and Mutombo. When you're over a certain height it's sometimes more advantageous to block a shot on your feet so you can quickly recover the loose ball.

The guy is real bad. His footwork sucks. His stammina is also very bad, but he can work on that to. I also heard that he did not make any of the "big" leauges in china. I dont know how the chinese are at basketball, but when a 7,8 footer cant make the league Yao played at, there is something wrong with him.

He only started playing basketball fairly recently from what I've heard.

looking at where he starts from and where one dribble gets him can give an offense a lot of options if he develops.

He's only starting from a little bit outside of the block, not that far. And he shouldn't be putting the ball on the floor anyway.

I agree. He's obviously got a great natural advantage in his height and bulk, but he's also obviously disadvantaged by a lack of speed and lateral quickness and no doubt stamina as well. Even if he makes the NBA, his lack of athleticism will prevent him from being as dominant as his size may suggest to the casual sports fan.

He will be the ultimate fouling machine out there if he comes to the NBA. Book it.

alot of teams are willing to pay big bucks for 6 fouls a game, especially if they plan to play shaq in the playoffs.

I think people are interested because it was posted before, he's probably got a grade school level of basketball, if that. Upside is 99.9% on this guy.

Quite a few NBA experts have commented Yao is being hindered by his size, not helped (his wingspan advantage over traditional 7 footers is negligible)...so being a goliath isn't always a good thing.

As a bit of trivia, Greg Ostertag can dunk without jumping at all. Although, that probably doesn't spell a good future for Sung ... the Korean Ostertag.

Wingspan will not help him if he cant play ball.
