When i saw the title.. i though Man Utd straight away...
And the Bulls wear red... Hawks... maybe its ur turn soon!
Thu May 19, 2005 9:50 pm
Hmm... Toronto has to take their red alternate jerseys and make it their permanent away jerseys from now on then.....

When's the last time the Hawks were good?
Man they are due.

I agree! Besides, I think the red jerseys are much nicer!

the hawks won 50 games in 1997-1998 season, but since then
Fri May 20, 2005 8:16 am
Spurs won the championship after being one of the worst teams in the previous season. So Atlanta can have this fate as well.
Fri May 20, 2005 10:03 am
Except the Spurs lost David Robinson for the whole season due to injury so thats why they were bad the Hawks just suck period.
Fri May 20, 2005 11:21 am
Furthermore, they didn't go from the bottom to the top. They didn't win the title in Duncan's rookie year (1998) - Chicago did.
Fri May 20, 2005 9:08 pm
If the hawks can get the number 1 pick and draft bogut they can turn things around.
Fri May 20, 2005 9:42 pm
they need some vintage Christian Laettner damnit
Sat May 21, 2005 2:39 am
Bogout is not even in the same zip code as Duncan...c'mon. I remember reading about the rookie class working out with the original dream team and how TD was abusing Shaq and everyone else. GMs were offering their first born to SA for the #1 pick.
Bogout is compared to Vlade Divac, or at best Brad Miller.
Sat May 21, 2005 2:40 am
If you're going to bag him, at least spell his name properly.
Sat May 21, 2005 3:18 am
He calls him that for sentimental reasons, Bogout will box out everyone for the best boards.
Sat May 21, 2005 3:25 am
Lol in Australian slang, Bog Out would mean to shit alot. Just saying.
Sat May 21, 2005 3:32 am

I seriously have to learn this Australian slang. Bog Out = Shit a lot, lmao.
With the first pick the Atlanta Hawks select Mr. Shit alot.

I think Atlanta in a few years will be a force. They have sooooooo much cap space and nice core of young talent. Everything goes in circles.
Sat May 21, 2005 6:04 pm
I think they have a long way to go before they get anywhere near the playoff, however considering how "weak" the East Conference is you never know
Sun May 22, 2005 3:38 pm
The Eastern Conference isn't anywhere near being that weak. For the first time in while an Eastern team missed the playoffs with a .500 record and the conferences were much more balanced than they have been. A few of the middle-of-the-pack teams in the East will have to drop and Atlanta will have to make some incredible deals or greatly overachieve to get to the playoffs in 2006.
Of course, now that I've said that they'll win 50 games next year.
Mon May 23, 2005 6:30 pm
reverting back to the original topic, I've got a feeling it could be skewed by the likes of Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool....and Canterbury Crusaders
Mon May 23, 2005 6:54 pm
Question: who should they draft? Marvin or the Australian kid?
Mon May 23, 2005 10:24 pm
Hawks already have Al Harrington, Josh Smith and Josh Childress so I'd say Andrew Bogut over Marvin Williams....Chris Paul is also an option depending on workouts, but they might have trouble passing on Bogut
Mon May 23, 2005 10:26 pm
i'd go for Marvin myself but it doesnt matter because Hawks are gonna suck eternally.
They should throw back their old school team...Mutombo, Laettner, Smith and Blaylock. Put that team out and i bet attendance would increase, people might actually care about ATL.
Mon May 23, 2005 10:28 pm
I would also want Williams, but why another SF?
Package Smith/Childress/Harrington for something other?
