Phoenix is obviously taking it. We don't need no thread to say 'Phoenix wins by 15". :D

Wow, Memphis did a pretty good job on defense.

Nah injuries my ass. The Kings are losing because they underestimated the impact Webber had on the team. Isn't it funny how Mike bibby is almost completly useless when playing a team that can defend the pick and roll?

The kings deserve it for IMO dumping their game against the jazz to have a series with the sonics. Karma...

No, the Knigs are losing because Seattle is playing very well, Webber's jumpshooting presence would not have won them any more games, they might have had different scores at the end, but no wins.

I don't think Webber has even attempted a FT against the Pistons, just jacking from the outside all day. He was on fire from 3PT range in game 1 though. The Knigs needed to get young, and it's not like they were going to win a championship or something, so better for them to unlaod Webber when they can as opposed to having his one knee and jumpshooting for more years.

It was great to see Alonzo Mourning pick up 21 points and 9 rebounds against the Nets yesterday. I had hoped he'd get more of a chance to play when he signed with the Heat, possibly even spending some time alongside Shaq. But he was behind Doleac in the rotation most of the time. When veterans still have something left in the tank, it's sad to see them not getting a chance at one last run.

HA :?

Well it looks like the Grizzlies did a great job on defense, but they ended up letting Phoenix make a run late before the end of the half after they were leading for most of the first half. The solution to stopping Phoenix is easy and that's just play transition "D". When they can't score on the break, they use the pick and roll with Stoudemire and for all I care, Stoudemire can score 60, as long as the entire team doesn't go off which has been happening. Stoudemire has been getting alot of points, but as for the team, they haven't really made a HUGE IMPACT to the point of where the game will be a blowout. The only thing Memphis has to do is stay within' the area they are at and they can win the game at the end. Grizzlies are 4th in the league in OPP. PPG and Fratello is a defensive minded coach. I can see that there are alot of areas that he has worked on after Game 1 and that's why the Suns haven't made all those 3's that they made in Game 1.

well grizzles gave the suns a good battle but your chances of beating phoenix by letting them score around their season average is a bit low

You're a sick man Andrew. I hate it when people just focus on the positives for this jackass and completely overlook what he did to New Jersey and Toronto.

Because of his kidney disease, it is actually a factor where he lives. If he lived in Toronto, he wouldn't have played anyway but because Miami is warmer geographically, it's in a more suitable environment for Alonzo. I didn't overlook what Zo did to the Raptors, and I wish the Raptors could have gotten something out of Zo, but he couldn't have played anyway because of his disease.

The main reason why Zo got 21 points was because they basically passed him the ball on every play to try and boost his scoring up. They do that everytime when he gets in the game if its a blow out or something. I guess its so the crowd can get happy or something, but they run all their plays for him so he can score. I believe he only played about 18 minutes or so and he fouled out too.

A "sick man"? That might be overreaction of the year. I'm not suggesting Mourning is without fault, but he's a guy from the 90s who I've always appreciated and I like to see him doing well. I'm surprised that you would lob such harsh criticisms of being a "sick man" at me; that you essentially equate my comments to racist, sexist, or otherwise inappropriate remarks. Why the venom, DipSetVC?

nets and heat in OT , real good game going on. Eddie Jones 2 big 3's at the end of the 4th quarter . Kidd got a TD and Carter is 2 reb and 1 assist away from a TD also. has their ever been 2 players with a TD on the same team in the same game???

I can't recall it happening offhand, though I'm sure a couple of teammates have come close to it at some point. Wade's also close to a triple double - if you count turnovers, he's actually close to a quadruple double.

Miami ends up winning it though, 108-105 in double OT. Jason Kidd finishes with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists for the triple double, Vince Carter comes close with 36, 9 and 10, Dwyane Wade ends up with 22, 10 and 8 - though he also had 9 turnovers.

The Suns also went up 3-0. I don't think Memphis will win another game but if they do, it will be just the one. I'm surprised, I thought they'd take two and give the Suns a bit more trouble given they matched up well with Phoenix in the regular season. Sacramento meanwhile took a game from Seattle, without much help from their bench.

I felt the same way after seeing both of the first two games being very close and pretty much going down to the wire. The Grizzlies started off like they were going to give Phoenix all they had in Game 3 leading 8-0 and shooting 73% in the first quarter, but I guess they weren't ready to take that next step. I'm hoping they can win Game 4 at least so they can get rid of that 0-7 start in the playoffs.

Philly may win one more.

Sacramento still has a shot at this series believe it or not.

Phoenix and Miami will both sweep.
