I think it's reasonable to limit this to 5 picks,so I'll start this off:

In no particular order whatsoever

1. Kobe Bryant - great moves, I like his creativity and 3 point shots (fadeaway, left handed and whatnot)
2. Dwyane Wade - Incredible athleticism, crossover and dunks
3. LeBron James - Amazing physique and cool dunks+shots, similar to Kobe
4. Dirk Nowitzki - This guy never ceases to amaze me, like that dude on NBA TV said: You can't guard him, he's too fast for big players and too strong for small ones. His 3 point shot is also stunning for his size.
5. Tracy Mcgrady - 13 points in 35 seconds, need I say more?

You gotta add Tricky: Selfish, but in close situations he always hits the shot.

Let's do it by position:

C: Shaq - You cannot say much about this behemoth...

PF: Duncan - Doesn't wow anybody upon first glance, but once yoy monitor his movements on the court, you really say "you gotta be kidding me"

SF: LeBron James: Just watching a 20 year old man-child posting 25 - 7 - 7s every night fighting to bring a bunch of misfits into the playoffs is amazing.

SG: AI - As already said, is 6'0", weighs 170lbs soaking wet, plays 42 minutes a game at 30 years of age and racks up 30ppg and 8apg. You have to give him credit, the midget has heart...

PG: J-Kidd - There hasn't been a bigger leader/winner in thi sposition since Magic. the consummate leader and pointman.

I can't believe a lot of guys don't have Kobe on their list. Yea I like Kobe, but it's not bias. I watch most of the games on TV and whether or not his team is down 30, whether or not he is the subject of controversy, and whether or not people like him, he always does the unthinkable, and completes several plays like it's a walk in the park. I don't specifically mean shots, I'm talking about the athletic moves. One time against the Spurs he just strided to the basket like he was God and posterized Rasho like it was nothing. He made that amazing left handed 3 pointer to beat the shot clock against I forget who. He's made countless fadeaway mid range shots.

Shaq is the same way. Growing up watching Shaq play, I was somewhat 'spoiled', thinking "center isn't all that hard, just watching Shaq you can see it's so easy. But once he's gone, and you got guys like Chris Mihm and Brian Grant, you can really see the difference. You really can't take things for granted because some people make it look so easy.

No particular order:
1)Josh Smith - with the 10 blocks in one game he had.
2)J-Will - in his old days was crazy too. Especially the one with the pass to Vlade that hit his head :D
3)Kobe/T-Mac/VC - cool athletic highlights
4)AI - esp. when he was the leader in steals.
5)TD - yeah, yeah biased. but it's amazing how effective a player can be without the flashiness

1. "Pistol Pete" Maravich

and then some others in no particular order who come to mind....
Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Spud Webb (dunk contest), Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, John Stockton....

as for some people from today, not many exact much of a response....some of the stuff that Manu and Flash do are nice, but it's not making me go wow....White Chocolate (as a rookie when he wasn't shooting  a very poor man's "Pistol Pete")....AI makes some real tough shots when you're like wow, he's good....then there's J-Kidd is his heyday....

Latrell Sprewell as a Golden Warrior (rookie through to 3rd year pro)....loved Spree and the Warriors back then....

I'm gonna say Iverson, watching him drive is like nothing else. And also T-mac, he is teh sole reason I picked teh Rockets over teh Mavs. I love watching him pop threes right in guys faces.

Tracy McGrady - the whole Orlando-to-Houston affair...
Steve Francis - refusing to play for the Grizzlies when he was drafted...
Vince Carter - not giving all he had because he didn't like his team anymore...
Baron Davis - faking injuries when your on the worst team in the league...
Kobe Bryant - trying to be the GM and star player at the same time...

...those guys make me go "Wow, no way, are you kidding me?"
