Espn news HD just reported that the 76ers and the Knicks are talking about a 3 team 8 players deal that would bring Iverson to the Knicks. Thats all that was mentioned. anyone else hear anything about this?

nope but I read another article on nba.com where Iverson said that he wanted to finish his career at philly.. not that that would stop a potential trade going ahead

well i was just watching espn , NBA Nation , and AI is saying he wants out unless the do some amazing things and soon , that one guy Michael Stewart was saying that he wants to be traded, unless the make some deals and surround him with other players that can win them a championship. Which they cant. So It will be intresting to say the least on what happens.Persoanyl I dont give a shit. I dont know what he wants or what hes expecting. But I dont see them being able to get any body in there that well help this team out right now. the only thing that would help them is possibly the Donyel Marshal jalen Rose package the Raptors are trying to move , but i dont know what they could give in return that would make that deal work.

AI doesnt want out, thats bs. hes not happy with the direction the sixers are moving in and he would like the management to make some deals, thats true. but he said a million timse that he want s to be a sixer for life.

just in case the management decides to trade him, new york would be kinda cool, id like to see AI play in New York, though i remeber reading somewhere that Iverson hates the Knicks...

alot of players say they wanna end thier career with a certain team. it looks good from a PR point of view. malone always said he wanted to end his career with the jazz but that didnt stop him from bolting to the lakers to try and win one. if iverson could get traded to a team with a chance to win, or atleast a chance to do well in the playoffs i have no doubts he would aprove it damn fast. as for the knicks i dont see what they are gonna do with or without him. you cant have him and marbury on the same team so i assume he would be part of the trade somewhere,

you have to say it. if he came out now and publicly demanded out of philly he would lose alot of fan support. he would have to put up with constant harrasement from his home town fans and who wants to deal with that. now i do believe he likes philly and if he did end his career there i dont think he would mind at all, but i could see him making a "get me some talent or trade me" demand.

well on ESPN they just reported that 76ers trying to make a trade with Cleveland. knicks area always involved in rumors, so i would expect them to get iverson at all. if cleveland can get ahold of AI, just imagine how that team can turn into a championship contender JUST LIKE THAT.

That would be about as perfect of a backcourt as you can get, Iverson and Lebron. They would compliment each other wonderfully..

Iverson said he doesnt want to be traded, but that doesnt me he wont be. Sixers management has a history of trading superstars once a championship calibur team has been dismantled (Charles Barkley, for example).

I agree with you Matthew, if the Cavs and Sixers are talking about a deal, Z would be included. That would open a spot for Varejao in the lineup.

sir charles wanted out of philly. he made that very clear to the team and anyone who would listen. the 76ers didnt just go and trade him for no reason.

as for iverson with lebron, i dont know how well it would really work out. i mean it sounds damn good on paper but i personally cant say that it would work out in reality.

Why not? Iverson has really matured as a player right now. The transition to PG has made him look for his teammates a lot more that past years. LeBron, it's a great player, he can also play as PG, so O'Brien (let me dream) could switch positions between those two.

But they were the ones who dimantled that team (hersey hawkins, all those guys) and then Barkley wanted out.

Iverson and Lebron would work in cleveland, just becuase they are unselfish players who want to win. It wont happen, but god it would be nice if it did.

i think that Cleveland-Philly trade rumours are bullshit. i mean why the hell would the Cavs try to get AI after trading away dudes like Davis and Miles to make sure LBJ developes positively...also the Cavs just dont have enough to offer, AI is the shit this season, theyd have to trade half of the team to make it a fair deal if they dont trade LeBron, which im 300% sure they wont do.
no matter how unrealistic this trade seems, itd still be nice to see AI and Bron on the same team and itd be even better to see Allen and Snow reunited.
forget about all that, Philly is AI and AI is Philly. he (hopefully) is a Sixer for life.

I don't know about Iverson being unselfish. He's not as selfish as he used to be, granted, but he still takes a lot of shots, and it would be difficult to share the rock with LeBron who's the man in Cleveland, when Iverson wants to be the man.
