Through all the contract problems, off court problems, and general Spreewell problems, the Minnesotta Timberwolves are crumbling as we speak.
After this loss to the Lakers, Minnesotta is now just 1/2 game ahead of the 10th place team in the West, you know after the Raptors beat them, I said, no big deal, the Raps are beast at home, then they lost to the Knicks, Grizzlies, Bobcats, and Wizards [YaY!], and today they lose to the Lakers, while
at home.
The crumble has begun, Minnesotta is 2-8 in their last 10 games, and at this pace, the Clippers will be taking their playoff spot
The rise was short, but the fall was rapid....
Like they say, he who is down fears no fall, that's why the Hawks are chilling.

Yeah I was at the game...it's just disturbing. KG needs help on the boards, badly.
Timberwolves need Rahim.
Wally and Ervin Johnson for Rahim
Sprewell and Cassell for Baron Davis, Lee Nailon and Jamal Masburn
Wolves should do both those deals.

it's KG against the world out in Minnesota. Someone get him some help out there, he needs it now, what he doesn't need is 2 vets bitching about contracts.....no wonder KG gets the urge to punch people in practice

Great call Matt
I think the heart of twolves problems lie in their defense. It's what made them one of the best last season, and now they are back to trying to win shootouts. However, Minnesota really hasnt had consistant seasons, although they make the playoffs each year, its like a 2 steps forward, one step back process. Hopefully, they can get their feet underneath themselves come playoff time when they'll be a very dangerous ball club.

Blazers and Timberwolves almost did that deal, they want Wally really bad because they need a shooter amazingly bad.
Hornets want to clear some cap and get rid of Baron Davis. But they also get to get rid of the contract of Jamal Mashburn in the trade, so it's a pretty good situation for them.
There was an article about Baron Davis and Kevin Garnett being to similar stars, both frustrated in their own rights.
Tue Jan 11, 2005 11:54 pm
Jamal Mashburn's contract is getting paid by insurance, the Hornets will be in no hurry to trade him, Spree and Cassell are usless, they give them cap space, but the Hornet's don't want to trade Baron for garbage, they'd look to get a draft picks and young players.
Tue Jan 11, 2005 11:58 pm
Don't hate on me! I'm just telling you what the article said!
Wed Jan 12, 2005 12:54 am
Oh, sorry I didn't know it was from an article, but yea, a lot of Mash's contract is getting covered by insurance, and their's been some nicer offers with young players on the table.
I'd think they'd rather take the Kerry Kittles, Wilcox + 1st round pick if the Clippers end up proposing that.
Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:31 am
yea, KG has needed help his whole career basically, but last year he had some but now, I dont kno what happened to Spree and Cassel, i think they should keep Wally because he is a good shooter and can open up things but definitely trade Spree and Cassel for some young rising star, not old veteran that complains and basically past their prime time, but for me i think they should change the starting lineup and bench Spree because i really dont see him contributing that much so i would say start Trenton Hassel in his spot...

we will be alright.Olowakandi really needs to step the hell up and our trusty backcourt needs to stop worrying bout money and freakin play like they did last year.we should be the best team in the league right now.we got the talent to.

welcome back twolvezfanfoever..first post of the new year
i just looked at the standings and see the wolves' ain't too far from the number 9 spot
6. LA Lakers 18-14
7. Minnesota 17-16
8. Memphis 18-17
------------------------
9. Houston 17-17
10. LA Clippers 16-16
11. Portland 15-18
12. Denver 14-19
With 4 of their next 6 against one of those teams, it should be interesting to see how they respond. If they don't respond positively, I feel a few deals will be made by the trading deadline.
Wed Jan 12, 2005 9:22 pm
The Timberwolves seem to play 3 quater basketball. They were killing the lakers early when they were shooting bad but I feel they let Mihm grab to many boards giving them second chance oppurtunitys. They were also beating the Wizards by 6 with 2 minutes to go and they wrecked that. Also they let Philidalphiea back in the game and they were up by about 16. I think the teams getting to old and not supporting KG. I wouldnt mine the Baron Davis trade even though I reckon Cassell is still alright. But they should keep Wally at least he is consistant.

That show's KG isn't MVP

If he is the best player in the NBA why he can't make his team win
Wed Jan 12, 2005 9:51 pm
Minnesota had 58 wins last year, Sam Cassell and Spree both said he is a great leader.
This Twolves team reminds me alot of the 94-95 rockets team. Yes I know the rockets won the year before, but the way they came out of no where and had the best regular season in the west last year, and won a few playoff wars, and now they seem in disaray.. if they make a smart move before the deadline, they could sneak up on alot of teams in the playoffs.

Though they are all good players, Minny needs to get rid of all these guys.
Wally, good shooter. No defense and he is a cry baby.
Casell, very good but his hip is bad. Wants to much money.
Spreewell is just an idiot. This guy has had probs his whole career.
Kandi is garbage. Period.
Thu Jan 13, 2005 8:44 am
spree needs more money to feed his family
Thu Jan 13, 2005 1:53 pm
poor KG... they need the Mailman. If Karl is not gonna retire, i hope he joins the T-wolves. Hey, Minny fans, would ya mind seeing Kidd go to Minnesota?
Thu Jan 13, 2005 2:06 pm
hell naw I dont wanna see J-Kidd.He's old too. He's just as reliable as Cassell.I see we lost again tonight.Damn.KG continues to do the damn thang.Nobody else wants to though. We need to trade cassell, sprewell, and olowakandi. They aint workin out no more.WE dont need greediness on this team
Thu Jan 13, 2005 2:11 pm
Trade those three for one star player... so that Wally, KG and one other person can coexist!
Thu Jan 13, 2005 2:22 pm
simple reason, Tim Duncan is better when pressure is on him than KG.....I think duncan still has that ability to make his players better while KG has just become a conflict type of player....thats why he knocked Rick Rickert's lights out...
oh well its Karma I guess, thats what u get when u go punching the weak and powerless Mr.Garnett.

scuse me
game 7,western semifinals
thats pressure
32pts 21 rebs
he can handle pressure
this situation is kinda strange though. You can only do so much.Tim Duncan probably couldnt get cassell and sprewell to play hard either
Thu Jan 13, 2005 2:35 pm
It's not Kevin's fault. Not at all. KG is playing all 5 positions. Flip says "We are a one-man team". I don't understand where everyone else is.
