No one can put up what Vince Carter did.

Michael Jordan was dope, but I don't think he did do a LEGIT Windmill in his entire career.

when you start dunking on superstar 7footers like MJ then you can try and take the title away from his airness, he dunked on mutombo in his prime(not like Emeka who did it to an aging mutombo) he also dunked on Zo, Ewing , Hakeem and Shaq. MJ has the greatest list of casulties under his belt.

Agreed, Nique, Carter and J-Rich are examples of players who had better extension on windmill dunks. But MJ took off from further away and did performed the windmill (which were hardly half-hearted) on more of a lean. The windmill he performed in the 1989 All-Star Game (off Isiah's pass of the backboard no less) was pretty nice though.

I'll say MJ simply because of personal preference.

Vince Carter all the way!! VC had the sickest dunks in games and the dunk contest. I was watching top dunks of all time(not dunk contests) and VC was number 1.

Vinsanity, course he cant get rated No.1 since Jordan always gets labelled at best at EVERYTHING.

Im sure most of yall have seen Vince's dunk in that International game....damn to dunk over a guy while practically sitting on him....now thats pretty amazing. (y)

Good luck in New Jersey, I hope you can make the greatest comeback. :D

Vince Carter by far....no question about it.

Windmill alley-oops during games? Jumping OVER a 7 ft dude?.....thats just insane

My favorite is the one against the Clippers...I believe it was during the 2000/2001 season. Dee Brown threw one of the worst alley-oop passes of all time to Carter....way to soft, but somehow he caught the ball from a extremely hard angle and was able to throw in a tomahawk...insane.

To bad he only participated once in the Slam Dunk Contest

jordan, without a doubt.. when he still had his legs he would do it with regularity.. that dunk he did on pat ewing in the playoffs was absolutely sick. VC was a great dunker too but he only dunked with regularity the first 4 years of his career; had he done it more then he would get that crown as greatest dunker ever

i can't believe dominique wilkins or julius erving aren't getting a lot of love here.

these 2, imo, are the best dunkers. in game or in competition, it didn't matter, their dunks were always badass.

jordan, vince carter, jason richardson are a step below

i was considering putting MJ in the upper echelon but after reviewing the '88(?) dunk contest in chicago on the latest MJ dvd, Wilkins indeed should have defeatetd him in the finals.

I'd go with either MJ or 'nique. The amount of power that guy could put in his dunks was scary.

Also, re: that Vince Carter dunk over the 7 footer. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but he pushed the guys head under his legs with his hand. Last time I checked that's an offensive foul, it's like if you wanted to drive past someone you hook your arm around their waist and push them out the way. Highly overrated dunk, but it looked cool.
