You know, Shaquille O’Neal may be a bully, he may be a demanding big guy, he may ask for things too much and he may order around people at his command… but he is a basketball player. Not with me… allow me to explain.
It doesn’t matter if you’re tall, fat, small or thin. It doesn’t matter if you’re black, white, Muslim, Chinese, Indonesian or Arab. It doesn’t matter if you’re poor or rich; got a family or you’re an orphan.
To sum it up, it don’t matter where you come from, what you did, who you are off the court or what goes on behind the scenes.
At the end of the day, in the end, Shaquille O’Neal gets the job done. It does not matter how he does it, it doesn’t matter if he knocks smaller guys around, he does what he’s asked (and paid) to do by people he respects. He is there, putting in. He does what he loves, what he works for every week since he stated playing.
He is a monster and he does do things that may be considered outrageous by many. But he does what he does, he is SHAQ and if people can’t hack that, than they got a problem. They spending too much time worrying about other people, worrying about what others are gonna do. Those people have to start looking at themselves first before criticizing others.
Just a lesson for them rookies…

A lot of people are different on court. Just because Shaq dominates on court doesn't mean he acts the same off court. He does it because it's his job. He doesn't get paid x amount of dollars for nothing, he has to play well, he has to win. He doesn't 'bully' Kobe. When's the last time you saw him in Kobe's face and shove him? My dad's friend once had to do a plumbing job for Shaq's house (or something like that) and he said Shaq was a real nice guy.

listen, just cause shaq is alot bigger than anyone else dont expect him to play softer to keep it fair. the guy is huge and of course he is gonna use that size to his advantage. should we tell iverson to slow down his game so the older players can keep up? should we tell ray allen to not shoot any more 3's cause the centers are not as good at it? maybe we should tell the leapers of the nba to stop dunking cause some players cant do it in a game.

I remember very clearly what you speak of Shaq tripping Francis. The Lakers lost possession for whatever reason, and Francis was overdribbling, trying to cross between Shaq and someone else (maybe Malone). He ran into Shaq's foot and lost the ball, Shaq hurried to pick the ball up and dunk it before the rest of the team got back to that end of the court. If I had video footage of it I'd be more then glad to share it, of course it was no call. It wasn't like Francis was dribbling up court and Shaq came over and thought (hmm he thinks he has mad handles, I shall make him look foolish) and trip him, no that didn't happen.

This guy doesn't get it. So your telling me, everytime Shaq gets the ball he should softly dribble his way into the paint and try a floater to make sure he doesn't 'bully' anybody? Just learn that Shaq is big, he uses his size, its not illegal. We already have a shortage of guys who can dominate the low post, and I dread to see the day I see Shaq taking jumpers because he doesn't want to be called a bully...If you don't like the guy, fine, I don't like him either. I hate to see him dominate against my favorite teams but I don't go making threads and crying that he is bullying players around.

I don't like him because he is not a team player, he always considers himself to be the best, and I can't say that he isn't but sometimes it gets annoying. He blames a lot of his mistakes on his team and hates players who don't give him the ball...Kobe.

Throwing elbows is done by so many players that Shaq has to be one of the players who does it the least. Malone throws elbows more than anyone, Garnett and Duncan also throw elbows.

let me clear this up, ben wallace didnt stop shaq. shaq did just fine in the finals. if you wanna look at someone who shut someone else down, look at prince and kobe, cause prince put the lock down on him. another thing, divacs only defense for shaq is to throw himself to the floor and beg the ref for a call, he never shut down shaq either.
you think shaq bullies people around? look at all the best players ever, they all did it. you think you need to be 7 feet tall to be a bully? i mean what do you consider a bully? a big guy pushing around a smaller guy simply cause he is not big enough to guard him? maybe you should consider the bully who knows he has a inferior defender on him so he constantly takes advantage of him thus helping his team win, jordan did this quite often if i recall.
