i'm glad to see my Pistons play the bucks instead of hornets.
Bucks frontline (Skinner & Smith) is smaller and less talented than Hornets (Brown & Magloire)
besides Hornets beat Pistons 3-1 in season series and are more physical than the Pistons

Heat and Hornets will go down to the wire, or at least 6 games, I'm pretty sure of it. LA will have problems with the Rockets, I can feel it, I don't think it will be a easy vanquish.
Pacers will also have problems with the Celtics, Mark Blount and Pierce, and Marcus Banks stepping up, the Pacers better be careful.
The Grizz can also give SA problems, and I think the Knicks will take the Nets.
Mavericks are done, I just want to see how much Marquis Daniels can score/ average.

I don't think Wolves will have trouble with Nuggets
Lakers vs Rockets will be even, but Lakers will eventually break away
Spurs will have bo real problems, close games but TD to much to handle, too much experience
Kings will beat the Mavs, they at least play better D

Pacers shouldn't have problems with Celts, that is unless Pierce unleashess a can of whoop-ass on Artest again
Knicks will win this one, Marbury will be fired up and finally see rnd 2
Pistons will win this, Bucks are too small down low, but Redd will cause problems
Heat will win this one, the teams macthup farely well w/in the starting 5, not much seperating the two, but in the end i feel that Miami can pull this off having homecourt

The Twolves will most likely sweep the Nuggets because the Twolves have been so hot as of late and they will pretty much murder them. Lakers and the Rockets will be a good matchup IMO. I think the Rockets will give the Lakers a run for their money and at least make it a 6 game series. I know I'm very biased about my Grizzlies :) but I really think they can give SA problems in this series especially if we come out and play like they suppose to. If the Grizz can get out and run, rebound and force TO's which they are good at forcing TO's, then they can actually win this series. If they can steal 1 out in SA then try to win both games in Memphis then the Grizz can have this series.

For the Kings and Mavs series, the Mavs will play a great series against the Kings, but the Kings will have homecourt advantage and we all know how bad the Mavs are on the road. The Kings are bad as well, but the Mavs are very bad. The Kings would probably take the first 2 games then the Mavs when their 2 at home. Then the Kings will beat the Mavs in the 5th and 6th game because I dont think the Mavs can get 3 straight on the Kings even though they will be at home.

Pacers vs. Celtics will be a pretty boring matchup. I'm looking for the Pacers to sweep them easily out the way. Nets and Knicks will be a good matchup. Even though I dont like the Nets, I see them coming out of this one in 6 games. The way the Knicks have been playing lately, I dont think they going to make this a 7 game series. The Nets have the experience so thats why I think they would win this one. I really feel sorry for the Bucks because they have to play the Pistons who I think we go to the Finals. The Bucks wouldve done alot better if they played Hornets or Heat. The Heat and the Hornets will be a pretty good matchup. The Heat have been playing great as of late and the Hornets just been playing bad. Miami will win this series in 6 games pretty easy.

Denver over Minnesota 4-2
Dallas over Sacramento 4-3
San Antonio over Memphis 4-0
Houston over Los Angeles 4-3

............Haha, had you there, didn't I? Dare to dream, I say.

Anyways, my realistic predictions:

Minnesota (finally) over Denver 4-1
Dallas over Sacramento 4-3
San Antonio over Memphis 4-1
Los Angeles over Houston 4-1

Indiana over Boston 4-1
New Orleans over Miami 4-2
Detroit over Milwaukee 4-2
New Jersey over New York 4-2

Comments:

I really hate to say this, but Yao will probably get absolutely spanked by Shaq. The way Rockets are playing lately, sadly, I think they're facing a quick early exit. I just hope it will be as painless as possible. (You gotta hand it to Yao, though...he's the first player in many years to FORCE Shaq to bring out his A-game everytime.)

Going into the second half of the season, I would have said this was the Kings' year....but to my surprise, Webber, their long-time franchise player somehow put a brake on the King's momentum. It won't be easy for the Mavs by any shot, but I think they have more things going for them at the moment than the Kings, who are 11-12 with Webber in the line-up.

Although a part of me that craves for melodrama wants to see Minny exit in the first round for the eighth straight year, the part of me that vowed not to watch the entire next season if KG doesn't get MVP this year wants to see KG finally advance, as he's deserved for many years. I think it's safe to say that even though Denver can be a tough opponent for any NBA team, they're not quite at the same level as the T'Wolves yet. Easy, but emotional win for Minny.

The Grizz were good this year..........very good......much better than a lot of people dreamed (including me...argh, why couldn't they be this good back in Vancouver), but San Antonio is better. No question here.

Not much of interest in the east... Nets/Knicks guaranteed to be an "interesting" series... I think it will be a fairly easy series for the seasoned Nets though.... Pacers will make the Finals this year I think, so they can't lose in the first round  , but that part of me that craves for melodrama hopes for another Celtic upset over the Pacers.... the formidable Pistons most likely won't have much trouble with the reeling Bucks, though the Bucks could be a dangerous team.... Jamaal Magloire will be the key in leading the Hornets past the Heat.

With the first round being seven games these days, I predict there won't be any sweeps this year. The lower seeds will all steal at least one game.

Well that's not happening :P

Heat over New Orleans 4-2? If the Heat win I think it goes 7 games, remember Baron Davis in the playoffs before, unless he's still injured him and Magloire should be killer, but I still think the Heat will take it but in 7, battle to the end.

My predictions were:

Earlier, I wrote:West:

Wolves (1) vs. Nuggets (8) - Wolves win 4-1 - Correct
Lakers (2) vs. Rockets (7) Lakers win 4-1 - Correct
Spurs (3) vs. Grizzlies (6) - Spurs win 4-1 - Incorrect
Kings (4) vs. Mavericks (5) - Kings win 4-2 - Incorrect

East:

Pacers (1) vs. Celtics (8) - Pacers win 4-1 - Incorrect
Nets (2) vs. Knicks (7) - Nets win 4-2 - Incorrect
Pistons (3) vs. Bucks (6) -Pistons win 4-1 - Correct
Heat (4) vs. Hornets (5)- Hornets win 4-3 - Still possible

3 out of 7 so far, with a chance to make it 4 out of 8. I've got feeling the Heat will in six though, so it will drop to 3 out of 8.

If the Heat win, I will have picked the winner in 7 of the 8 series, but I'll only be 3/8 as far as my prediction for the series record. If the Hornets win, I'll be 8/8 and 4/8. I'm doing much better with my predictions so far this year - maybe I've lost the power of the jinx.

this nj/det series may possibly be the best series of the playoffs. i'm looking forward to seeing kmart and rashweed face off. i think the pistons win in 6. unless the nba steps in and spaces out the games even more, allowing kidd to have successfuly knee surgery and rehab, the nets in 5.
