man when a.i. first came in the nba, in his rookie season he was the illest man!

how can you guys after just about 4 or 5 games say that wagner's rookie year is better than a.i.'s!

he still has a whole season to go and then we'll see...

I don't think he will have a better rookie year than Iverson. Once Ricky Davis and Miles get back he is going to have to give up a lot of shots and do some play making. But if he was the only scoring option all year i think he would be fully capable of putting up these great numbers.

Well, Davis is already back and Wagner had 29 points in that game. While i doubt Miles will make much of a difference since he's shooting 38% and only averaging 12ppg. btw, Iverson averaged 23ppg (at 41%) and 7apg in his rookie season. Considering Wagner is playing at that level early on is an excellent sign given that he should be far better later in the season (this is his pre-season at the moment).
