Devean George

Dude! Deavan George has gotten better! His extra 10 minutes a game has him doubling his scoring, stealing, assits and rebounds!

How is this happening...I'm a fan of his but I didn't know he'd do this well...one reason may be because he's starting games now!

02-03 Season: ------------------------------->03-04 Season
71 games played, 7 started ----------------> 7 games started/played
22.7 mpg ------------------------------------->33.1 mpg
6.9 PPG ---------------------------------------> 12.6 PPG
.390 FG ----------------------------------------> .614 FG
.371 3PT ---------------------------------------> .522 3PT
.790 FT -----------------------------------------> .727 FT
4.00 RPG ---------------------------------------> 7.10 RPG
1.3 APG ---------------------------------------> 2.1 APG
.79 SPG ---------------------------------------> 1.43 SPG
.92 TPG ---------------------------------------> 1.86 TPG
2.50 FPG ---------------------------------------> 2.70 FPG

It's only early in the season...but still, his stats are decent...and playing alongside 4 all-stars! (Or past All-stars at least...) Or does that benefit him more...like get him open to shoot?

his getting more minutes because fox is out i'd say. playing with four greats would benefit george because he isn't the kind of player who creates his own shot, so his getting more open looks because of all the attention shaq, malone, kobe and payton draw. < thats the main reason for the high field goal percentage.

I liked this guy when i played him in NBA LIve 2003....and yes ypoou shouldnt base video games on what you see in real life...but...He is my Go-To Guy with Kobe and the others in Live 2004 i like to run the Floor with him and get him some sick dunks :D I am glad for Devean he is GRRRRRRRRRRREAT and if tony the tigers lawyer drops by your house you dont know me. :lol: Did you know that in NBA Live 2004 you cna hear Twista say "Deavean George" in his song... :wink:

I hope he keeps starting even when Fox comes back because he's younger and should start getting more minutes than Fox...he's getting way too much to be sitting on the bench...let him develop playing alongside the "Fab Four"...Fox will be gone in a few years, let George play. :)

Devean played waaaay better then I tought he would. Hes showing great hustle in the rebounds, plays good D and knocks down shots from everywhere. I really enjoy seeing him play, if he keeps playing like this there is no need for Fox to replace him again at the starting job, also by putting Fox on the bench, you will get a stronger bench and almost a good SF in the game

Outplaying Payton :shock: ?! Are you kidding me, i know u can all bash me for this but imho Payton has been the sparkplug and motor of this team, he played with nothing but high energy until now, thanks to him the lakers are running the transition and do not depend as much on the triangle, i think the addition of GP and the mailman have been huge factors and they accept their roles, but at the moment GP is the second best player at the team(after o'neal who's just always dominant).
