For the amount of cash he's getting, I would want him to kill every opposing team he plays.
Wow, once he killed Bryant and that makes him worthy of a 14 million dollar contract? Sure.
I mean if he gets paid that absurd amount of money, I want him to score atleast more then his measly 22.5 ppg.

puts in like 19 points gets 6 boards and 3 assists

I guess that makes him bad ehh.

With Dirk, Nick & Steve on his team he got those stats.

He had to become a less elfish player and that is what he did, recuded his role.

Now with Twan & Toine, I guess if he doesn't average 20 he's still a bum?

interesting articl from Chicagosports.com...

Mavs' move may spark another

October 20, 2003, 10:58 PM CDT

The Dallas Mavericks, having acquired Antoine Walker on Monday and Antawn Jamison over the summer, have an overabundance of talented wing players.

There's talk that the Mavericks might be interested in clearing the logjam by trading Michael Finley. And the Bulls could use a defensive-oriented shooting guard.

Yep, here I go again.

The bigger surprise is here the NBA goes again, and the season hasn't started. Training camp usually is the time when everybody thinks they have a good team. Come the first week of the season, 20 teams realize they don't, and trade talks begin.

But Monday, the Boston Celtics traded three-time All-Star Walker and Tony Delk to Dallas for Raef LaFrentz, Jiri Welsch and Chris Mills, plus Dallas' 2004 first-round draft pick.

Although the Celtics give up an All-Star who's a consistent 20-point scorer, the trade appears to give them a chance to improve. And they'll avoid some potentially messy negotiations. Walker, a Chicagoan from Mt. Carmel High School, has been seeking a contract extension without much encouragement from new general manager Danny Ainge. In fact, Ainge made it clear around the NBA last summer that Walker was available, so it was setting up as a potentially contentious year for Walker and the Celtics if he had stayed.

In LaFrentz, the Celtics get a center … sort of. LaFrentz prefers the perimeter to inside play, but playing in the center-starved Eastern Conference, he could have more success. That's a big "could" the Mavericks obviously didn't buy into. You always wonder about a guy when a team with no center gives up its starting center.

Nevertheless, it hardly seemed like the run-and-gun Mavericks needed another runner-and-gunner like Walker, especially after acquiring the high-scoring Jamison. They did need a backup point guard after trading Nick Van Exel in the Jamison deal, and they got one in Delk. Skeptics might suggest it is the ultimate Don Nelson team: entertaining and high-scoring, with little chance to advance in the playoffs.

"We have been looking for a point forward since I've been here, and I feel we've got one of the best in the league in Antoine Walker," Nelson was quoted as saying on the Mavericks' Web site. "Walker is an all-around great player who will fit nicely into our system. We're going to miss Raef. The Celtics are getting a terrific player in Raef. He's in the best shape of his career and has been one of my best players in the preseason."

There was immediate speculation that Dallas has another deal in mind, unless it's willing to go with a starting lineup of Finley, Jamison, Walker, Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki.

Dallas did get role player Danny Fortson in the Jamison deal, and if the Mavs want size they still have Shawn Bradley, who is generally detested by the coaching staff.

So what might make the most sense is a trade for Toronto's unhappy Antonio Davis, who has made it clear he wants to leave Toronto. Though he's not quite a center, Davis probably is the best big man available, not that Nelson has ever needed one.

Davis earns about the same salary as Jamison, who is soon to become Vince Carter's brother-in-law. It's also possible the Raptors could trade for Walker, who has fewer years on his contract than Jamison.

Or perhaps the Bulls could trade for Finley, whom they passed on in the 1995 draft.

Finley, the veteran from Proviso East, has five years left on his contract averaging about $16 million. The Mavericks would like to get rid of that, and part of the Walker trade was to move LaFrentz's large contract. For all Mark Cuban says, he's cutting payroll as well.

It would be hard to imagine Finley being worth $18.6 million in 2007-08 when his contract expires. But at 30, he should have several good years left. And he's the kind of rugged veteran defender the Bulls crave.

And his salary happens to match up almost exactly with that of Jalen Rose, who has one fewer year on his contract than Finley. Though they're optimistic about Rose this season, the Bulls believe they have enough scoring with their young players. They've been looking for veteran defensive help.

Hello, Pax. You listening? Jerry Krause never did.

If you are looking for defense, Michael Finley is not the guy.

You know whats strange? In NBA Live 2004 Marv and Czar comment on Michael Finley

Marv: Michael Finley! Perhaps...Reminiscient of another Michael

Czar: Are you telling me that Michael Jordan gave Finley some tips back in that One on One game in Finleys Highschool Days?

Oh and By the Way

Finley has Sick dunks just watch the NBA Live 98 Intro on Playstation

He does a SICK dunk at the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest

What NBA are you guys watching?

Dallas is stopping star SG's. McGrady's offensive production, cut by a third. Kobe's, sliced in half. Pierce's, over three-fourths of it cut. Finley obviously plays a key role in this.

Brian Grant is a phenominal defensive player, easily one of the best in the league. This is why he can man the center position and not get destroyed despite being 6-9.
