will boston make the playoff?

i think all they really need is a decent pg. even then, they will barely make the playoffs. eventhough Raef can somwhow spread the floor, there's still no consistent scoring punch aside from Pierce. before they can throw it down low to Walker or at least Delk can hit the open J. but now they'll have a harder time. i say they'll be 8th seed (if they make).

GO LAKERS AND NETS!!!!!!!

Boston will make the playoffs. The other Eastern powers have either declined or remained the same this season. Everything from 3rd to 8th seed is still up for grabs. I'll stick with my prediction of 4th or 5th seed for the Celtics.

Let's see...

NJ
Indiana
Detroit
Orlando
Phillie
NO
Toronto
Boston
Chicago
NY
Washington
Miami
Cleveland
Atlanta
Bucks

Yeah I think they still make it. I think Toronto is in for sure and higher than 8 with the new Kevin Oneil attitude, Detroit, Indy and NJ are all gonna be pretty high, Phillie will ride Iverson for enough wins to be near the top, NO still has decent talent if little identity....Chicago will surprize people but NY and Boston will be fighting near the bottom of the playoff ladder.

I expect Toronto, Chicago, Boston, NO and Phillie to have similar seasons. Most likely injuries will play a huge part. If Toronto goes injury free all year they could get homecourt. If NY gets all its parts in place they could compete. If Pierce or Iverson ever go down at all their teams will be in big, big trouble.

Indiana, NO and Chicago are maybe the most volitile. Chicago could do really well this year but they are still very young. If Pippen can stop whining and start leading they may do great, but they could also win 25 games. NO needs to find an identity and Floyd isn't the one to help. Indy always seems capable of great things but somehow hold themselves back or shoot themselves in the foot somehow.

if they have their Franchise star Pierce carring them all the way there is no way that they shouldn't be in the playoffs....plus Lafrentz might be a star in the east..

chunk.. last time pippen was whining was when finley was picked ahead of him as an all star. pip definitely stepped up to the leadership role last year. check port's record with him in the lineup and w/o him. damn i wish i could remember the link to the stats.

NO already has an 'identity'. the team is full of vets. magloire is ready for a breakout year now that campbell is gone. bench production and davis&mash staying healthy is a big key to them being in the upper echelon of the east
