He'll be missing out a lot. Your rookie year is the most important.. Once every other 2003 rookies out there get used to the atmosphere in the NBA, he might still be at his college level and might not be able to contribute as much. This is definitely bad news for the Sonics though. They were expecting a lot out of this kid :|

It is a shame, but Collison probably was not going to contribute much for them anyway...the whole situation reminds me of Etan Thomas his rookie year with Dallas.

I always thought Collison was a bruiser but it looks like he can't take to much abuse... this could be worse than anyone percievces at the time being

Bad news for Seattle (I assume the Drobnjak trade was made to free up some minutes for Collison), unfortunate start for Collison. Still, the Sonics weren't going to the playoffs this year, and they've still got Radmanovic.

To whom it may concern: The Article

Feel bad for the kid, but it's better he has surgery now, instead of risking a more serious injury in the future, which could cost him his whole career. It's the right choice to have surgery now. (Y)

Yeah he is like my friend Shareef. He just has really weak shoulders that dislocate easily. Shareef would be great but he never gets em checked out and he dislocated hsi shoulder about once a game.

I hoped to see Collison play this season...I think that he gets his rookie status back for 2004/05 season like Speedy did :)
