"Based on my meeting with Joey Crawford, his commitment to an ongoing counseling program, and a favorable professional evaluation that was performed at my direction, I am satisfied that Joey understands the standards of game management and professionalism the NBA expects from him and that he will be able to conduct himself in accordance with those standards," Stern said in a release.

I'm a little surprised as it seemed as though Crawford might have been done after the incident last year. I still think the suspension was justified because it wasn't the first case of Crawford behaving inappropriately but he is an experienced official who (to our knowledge) hasn't been involved in any shady deals, so if he's working through his anger management problems or whatever the personal issues might be then so much the better for the league.

He hasn't been involved in any recent shady dealings that have cast a shadow of doubt on the results of numerous games and the honesty of officiating in the NBA in general...as far as anyone knows.
