Yeah, but knowing the Wolves are, hypothetically, in more of a dire need to move Kevin Garnett, Danny Ainge could legitimately tighten the thumbscrews on a potential deal. With Minnesota backed into a corner, he could remove say Ryan Gomes from the table, and the Wolves would still need to accept it because they arent getting better offers from anywhere else.

It's the same thing that happened with Ron Artest and Allen Iverson. If the negotiations were made quietly, then the Pacers and Sixers couldve ended up with better players than they ultimately received, instead of being desperate for anything.

And Kobe is a douche.
