He should've stayed by Garnett's side & Garnett could've made him look good all these years....who knows, he might've got to the Finals one of those years....

true, but now people think he's a complete arse....if he had played 2nd fiddle then he might have a legacy in the league....he definitely doesn't at the moment (well not a good one at least)

Yes, but he's filthy rich, one of the highest paid players in the NBA, and yet one that has never produced anything except losses. If asked if he would do things over again, i'm sure Marbury would say "no" because he wouldn't get the kind of money he gets now in Minnesota because KG takes a huge chunk out of the roster payroll.

I love Eddie Johnson's reaction to Marbury in Italy:

I played in Europe and if you think they will accept a me-first attitude over there, please don’t go. I guarantee you will find out what a heated up coin feels like when it connects with your head. Or rocks being thrown at your house after a huge loss or subpar effort and your kids trying to figure out why.

The correct translation would be something along this lines: "Dammi la palla e togliti di mezzo".

LOL, not to mention violence in stadiums (happens almost every time two rival teams play) and soccer-style atmosphere (lots of American players have a hard time trying to adapt to that).
Marbury wouldn't last one game here in Italy.

I think it has a lot to do with lefty hate. Like, I'd give up my left arm over my right arm. I think the same applies to testicles, eyeballs and legs.

Oh so true, Beckham is amazing and he's accomplished more than most dream of... Starbury on the other hand....

I don't know, obviously he'll be one of the best players in the league, but I don't know how much he'll actually help his team. I'm sure he'll be all excited to average 20 and 8 again.

He's on a special mission for David Stern. It's all part of the NBA going global. I would't be surprised if he plays for the team that Kobe owns.

Dude be real. Getting the NBA Ballers cover is bigger than ANYTHING Beck did in Europe... And 15 dollar shoes? Beckham ever do that? Don't think so.

One thing David did (and still does) better than Marbury ever could? Posh Spice.

We Beckham does have those Predator cleats that have been getting all sorts of controversy in California because they're made out of Kangaroo skin. But, apparently David's line of predator cleats switched over to synthetic materials a year or two ago, so he can avoid any controversy.

If Marbury really does leave the NBA and sign with an Italian team, I'll be excited to see what kind of contract he warrants. On the one hand, he's the kind of guys that wants money, on the other hand he's got a freakishly huge contract as it is and may not care about the money and just sign with a powerhouse.

I hope this means that maybe they'll broadcast some Euroleague games in the United States because I'd like to watch one every now and then.

Kobe does not own Olimpia Milano anymore. In 2003 the franchise went bankrupt, and a year later it was bought by Adriano Galliani, Massimo Moratti and Giorgio Armani.

However, I sure think Marbury, if he does come to Italy, will play for AJ, since it's the only team in the league with enough money to give him the salary he wants.

What he wants and what he can realistically expect as a 32 year old will be vastly different. Well, they should be.
