Does this guy ever stop complaining and attacking others? Last friday he said crap after the game about Sloan because he was up yelling (calling plays) at his players. umm Phil its called coaching. Before that it was the bears motorcycle and the fireworks at the 97 and 98 Finals.

Perhaps it was the same when Jackson complained prior to Thursday's game that the Jazz were warming up on the side of the court the Lakers usually do, and that Utah preferred to finish the game — it's visitor's option — running its offense as same side as its own bench.
Jackson dubbed it a sign of weakness, to which — when relayed by a TNT television reporter — Jazz coach Jerry Sloan simply shrugged and said, "That's okay."
"I like the offense coming down at the end of the game," Sloan said. "I think players have a better chance to see what we're trying to do — to see what I'm trying to do. That's just always the was I've felt."

NEW YORK -- Phil Jackson was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Wednesday for criticizing referees Friday night after the Lakers' 114-108 loss to Utah.

Jackson was quoted in several newspapers about the way the officials -- Derrick Stafford, Derek Richardson and Leroy Richardson -- handled second-year center Andrew Bynum.

In the second quarter, Bynum was called for traveling and moments later he was whistled for a foul when he thought he drew a charge against Matt Harpring. The 19-year-old Bynum approached the referees, but teammate Kobe Bryant intervened.

"The big key with Drew is they wouldn't let him play," Jackson said following the game.

Jackson called the matchup a "roughhouse game" and said it was "one of those nights in Utah that you know you're going to get."

"The league throws out some referee corps that you're dubious about to start with and, you know, the game ends up to be like that," he said.

Each team was called for 26 fouls.

I hate wasting my time reading articles like this. Get it together, Phil. His team is actually doing well but he draws the focus away from them anyway.

Phil will always be fill. I dont think it will have any effect on the team whatsoever at this point, he's just trying to stand up for his guys while setting a tone that even these early games are too significant to lose on bad refereeing.
