Ampho, Sam Smith articles are garbage. Sam Smith makes up a new rumor every week. In fact, according to Sam Smith, Jermaine O'Neal is going to be traded to the Bulls for Luol Deng and a draft pick every few days.

If the Celtics really offered anyone (I'm assuming anyone not named Paul) then that will make the 3rd time Ainge has said, you can have anyone on the team except for Paul. Does this offer mean that they would trade Gerald Green/Al Jefferson/Rajon Rondo? Because that would be an insanely bad trade by Boston. I don't think Ainge knows what he's doing.

Ainge is a little crazy. No reason to trade for a guy coming off a big injury - just doesn't make much sense. I still want them to somehow trade Pierce for Elton Brand (never going to happen).

I saw this trade on espn insider aswell. The celtics would take anything to get a W.

The Celtics may be the only team in this deal trying to improve, I think Memphis will try to rebuild their franchise from the scratch. That means trading Gasol for some other young tallents.

Why wouldnt the Grizzlies wait to see how Gasol plays with Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry and the much improved Hakim Warrick. Trading him would be giving up way too soon. Maybe the playoffs are out for this season, but they've got a team of great young guys who are only going to get better. If Jerry West is even considering entertaining this, then...well, he's losing it.

Unfortunately, that won't be happening. Lowry broke his hand and may be out for the rest of the season :(

As for the trade rumor, its 99% bullshit. The Grizzlies are a 50 win team with Gasol, and the playoffs, despite the slow start, aren't impossible. They will be back in form next season.

Really? The whole year?

Well my point still stands. They would be playing together next year, presumably with Lowry getting close to starter's minutes with an aging Stoudamire. Young teams look to the future, not just to win now. And trading Gasol away would just be another backwards step anyway.

The Grizz a 50 win team? That's laughable. As of right now the Grizzlies are one of the 5 worst teams in the NBA. Its time for the Grizz to start rebuilding right now, and if they can get Rondo and Al Jefferson for Pau, they should jump all over it.

I'm aware of that, I'm speaking about the team they currently have. They are not as good as they were last year.

I think Warrick will be better than Gasol within a few years. I would have said the same during his senior year at Syracuse - he's a great player.

idiot? Pierce can go out and get 30/10 almost every game with ease. And get about two steals.

im sorry but thats redicoulous, Pierce is amazing.

Were you calling me an "idiot"? Real mature...

You'd have to watch a lot of Celtics games from the past few years to understand my reasoning, particularly the fourth quarters.
