Best site for streaming nba games?

Postby SkipToMy_Lou on Sun Nov 05, 2006 3:08 pm

I want to try and catch as many Rockets game as possible, and it seems they wont be playing too many on Foxtel (damn Spurs).

Are there any good sites that stream some Rockets games in English?

www.sopcast.org

Go there and try it out... I will type more soon... I need to check it that's the site...

Ok, basically, the Sopcast program has connections to a Chinese TV station called CCTV... they show NBA games nearly every day... at bout 9 am or 10 am chinese time... so depending on where you are, you are either 2 hrs or 3 hrs in front of them. They are telecasts of NBA games but with chinese commentary...

The quality is good and it streams well... cept the language isnt english.

I have watched some english televised games... on opening night I was wtaching the final quarter of Lakers-Suns shown on TNT... so it depends if you're smart enough to see when games are on and see if theres a connection on Sopcast.

Hope that helps man.

Thanks for the info, any word on how many megabytes the games eat up?

I'm on a 10GB limit each month (and exceed it every month) so probably won't be able to watch any games if they exceed...200MB.

I'm not sure man. You on Broadband with Telstra? I've got the same limit and I can survive I guess... although my connection has slowed down a bit this week but I do admit I already used half of my quota anyways.

Nope TPG, but 10GB limit never the less. And I need to download a lot of music each month, so I do use a lot of that 10GB

SkipToMy_Lou, on TVU there is a chinese channel that shows every rockets game throughout the season. I thought NBA games used up about 800mb, but then I watched a full one and noticed it only takes up around 250mb

I suppose I'll check it out then, although might have to wait till my next month (26th) starts. I've already used up the majority of my 10GB limit :|
