****The Best Free Agent Pickup****

Postby theflash02 on Thu Nov 16, 2006 5:26 pm

I'd like to start off a topic for the best free agent pickup for any team..

Umm.. Mine is Keith Van Horn for the Toronto Raptors.. They need the shooter.. They don't have a shooter..

And I also think Van Horn would fit in the Bobcats too.. As a substitute for Morrison when he goes to the bench..

And another one is Walter McCarty for the Denver Nuggets.. He has the Three point shot written all over him.. He can score inside as well and is 6'10.. At the SF spot, he is effective.. Only downside is that he cant shoot free throws.. But hes a veteran.. So its a good addition for maturity of the team..

Whats yours Guys?

That KVH pickup would be the best...considering he is sitting out this season.

i don't really think KVH as a shooter. I like his game, and i think he's more of a scorer than a shooter, at least not a shooter anymore. Raptors has some shooters, not pure, but they are pretty good shooters: Anthony Parker and Bargs. Mo Pete is a very striky shooter as well. I just don't think there's any space for a player like KVH on the raptors roster. Hey alreay have plenty of PFs. I certainly would like to see KVH's career continue and not end up like this. He still has a lot to offer to teams.

speaking of FA picks up, i would like to see Jumaine Jones play more. I've always liked his game, and i thought i was nice of him to take a pay cut to play for a winning team, but he needs to play. Now that the Suns have Rose, they might want to trade Jones. He played very well for the Bobcats last year, and he can average at least 10ppg. He's still got a few more years left in him. Oh and yea, Jalen Rose was a pretty good pick up as well.

Whenever Antonio Davis is not injured anymore, I think a team that needs vet experience and leadership to pick him up for the season at the minimum. I want to see him be on a team in the later stages of the playoffs and any team in the NBA could use someone like him. However, I don't know what his status is as of now and if he's ever going to play again... but we shall see.

Also some player I want to see picked up would be Jay Williams, Vin Baker, Shawn Kemp... guys who could make a come back... Perhaps the Hawks can pick up Jay Will if Lue starts to slow down...

Bonzi Wells could turn out to be a huge help for the Rockets to contend.

Flip Murray was a pretty good pickup, as was Speedy Claxton and Bobby Jackson.

For me, even though it doesn't really count, would be the sign-and-trade for one mister Albert Harrington back to Pacerland.
