it doesn't seem TOO pointless. he is a veteran player and he could help out a lot during practice. he might not be a factor in the games, but in practice, he could help the younger players.

It seems to me you have no respect for lesser known players. the only players you like seem to be jason kidd, lebron, AI,duncan, and all those all stars. you should reallly watch a game because then you can notice all the other players in the nba. it seems to me all you do is judge people from highlight reels and nba live games.

So's your brain, but we dont blame you for that now do we? :P

Anyhow, good move by the Wolves, balancing the team out with veterans and younger players, Hoiberg will be good for as Cuban Cigar said, practice. Not a WONDERFULL move....but an -ok move. (Y)

Well than that means that you show absolutely no appreciation for some of the greatest players ever who/are all about fundamentals. You don't have to make the Sportcenter highlights to be one of the best. And how do you know he's too slow if all you watch is highlight reels?

Diverging from the usual verbal panache of the NLSC's resident intellectual, Jason Kidd, I don't think picking up Fred Hoiberg's too bad of an idea. He hustles, knocks down open shots, and takes care of the ball.

"We felt that we needed another veteran player who will be able to hit some shots, and Fred fits the bill," said McHale. "He will be able to help us both in practice and in games."

Yeah, that works.

i hope fred hoiberg does well for the twolves. he didn't make a big impact on the the stat sheet but he sure was great to have on the bulls. i never questioned this guy's effort whenever he was out there. also hope he rediscovers his shot in minny, it has been inconsistent the last few years

Another solid acquisition by the Timberwolves. The loss shouldn't affect the Bulls greatly, but that's not to say Hoiberg doesn't have any value or bring anything to the table.
