i agree, the point about her being charged with defamation, i meant more as if it is proved that he did not do it and that she was lying, or it is somehow proved that she lied. unfortunately, he can be cleared if there is not enough evidence to actually prove he did it, even if he has done it, but there is the possibility that if he is innocent and can prove that he is innocent that she would have lied. i think in that case the state should also be able to charge her with defamation, albeit it would appear to be on kobe's behalf, making false claims, or whatever it would be considerd by lawman's terms. i'm a little limited in legal terminology. but i think that people who do accuse others of something they haven't done, and it is proven that the claims were false, should also be punished, instead of just saying she lied, he didn't do that and she goes on her way with just whatever shame she might have from the experience. sort of like what's good for the goose is good for the gander. but more to try to discourage people from doing something like that, than to actually get vindication for someone falsely accused. i just don't think she should be able to get away with lying if she really is.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think the state would be suing her on Kobe's behalf after they've gathered enough evidence to charge him with a felony.

I can't see any logic in the girl lying, especially after she turned down $10000 for an interview. I think ALOT of kobe fans are naive as fuck in this situation. Ive seen cats on here call the girl a "hoe" and a "bitch" and a "golddigger". All i can say is what the fuck. The girl was working in a hotel, and she (probably) got raped by Kobe. The girl isnt sueing for damages, she hasnt said anything publicly. so if she isnt doing it for fame or for cash... can some of you motherfuckers give me a logical explanation as to why she would say she was raped when its not exactly somthing to be boastful of. I know a girl who was raped and it affected her psyche alot, and if the this girl was raped, i think it would affect her too... my point with that is its not something to be proud about.. getting raped.
I just want this thing to be a fair trial, like shane said- as two human beings. not a race issue, not a celebrity issue. nothing. just the facts... and for those sadcunts like that kobe site.... its easy to hide behind the internet and do that shit. thats all i got to say

That's why it has been taken down. People just don't listen when someone politely asked you to do something. In this care, the DA asked everyone to respect her privacy. Doesn't anyone understand what that means? (to the ones that are not listening)

Has anybody found the pics of this crazy chick

nba fan, i know what you're saying, i have known two women unfortunate enough to have had that happen to them, and as hard as i have tried to change my feelings about this, i can never find forgiveness inside of me for anyone who does that to someone. which is also why i feel that women who do lie about this should be held accountable for it. i am not saying she has, or implying that she might have, and no matter if she went to his room or not, i don't feel she is a hoe or a golddigger. but the fact is as of now she says he did it, he says he didn't. someone isn't telling the truth. if he did do it, he deserves to be punished and i for one feel that there isn't enough anyone could give her to compensate for her pain. i just hope whoever is in the wrong in this situation is dealt with. it's also sad because if kobe did it, in most people's eyes he will still not look as disgraceful as she has already to so many who don't have a clue as to what happened.

andrew you're probably right, and i guess i'm thinking too much in terms of the possibility of her maybe having made a false claim, though i don't have any concrete reasons to think so. i just wish things like this wouldn't happen period, people abusing each other, as well as people who have accused others of things they haven't done. i'm nearing my mid 30's and i to this day can't comprehend why things like this happen. and i doubt i ever will. it's just not something that anyone should have a need or reason to do.

Poollit wrote:what does it really matter? If he is guilty and it is proven beyond doubt that he did rape her. Nobody's perfect, everyone deserves a second chance, right?
And even if he did rape her, it doesn't matter he's always gonna be my favorite player. why?
Not cause he's a perfect role model, not cause he's the best in the L, but becasue he's the most fun basketball player for me to watch, and if not for him I might be playing soccer or something else. But I don't care what he is, I'm prolly not ever going to meet him, likewise you guys, so what if he is a rapist, just hope he can still play so we can still enjoy watching him, and so that I don't have to start watching Ricky Davis throw the ball off his own backboard everytime to get a triple double.
"Kobe deserves a second chance"
Bullshit! If a jury of his peers finds him guilty of this crime, his ass should go in jail with the rest of the rapists.
I don't recall ever saying Kobe shouldn't have to go to prison. I only mean that everyone deserves a second chance, no? So should all Kobe fans just start hatin him becasue he made one little mistake. should your parents have hated you when you made your first mistake?
Jwin...

Let me tell you why.... becasue everything is fucked up. thats just how it is. Or we can just say the common thing to say --selfishness

I'm talking about the people who are saying that because he's 'never done anything wrong' in the past, he should be given a freebie because he's their favorite player. Or the people bashing the woman without knowing what happened, or the ones that think all Kobe needs is a slap on the wrist. Every rapist gets a second chance...it's called probation after they're released from prison...if they are.

but the fact is as of now she says he did it, he says he didn't. someone isn't telling the truth.
I think sometimes the truth lies in between. She could honestly feel it was rape; on the other hand, Kobe, while acknowledging committing adultery, truthfully swears that it was consensual. They may both be half-right in what they say and feel, but you can't half-rape someone, so the verdict is going to go one way or another.
andrew you're probably right, and i guess i'm thinking too much in terms of the possibility of her maybe having made a false claim, though i don't have any concrete reasons to think so.
To be fair, I'm looking at it from the other perspective, assuming Kobe is guilty. The point I was trying to make is that she can't be written off as a gold-digger simply because of her claim, one that is obviously supported by significant evidence.
I hope Kobe is tried fairly and it would be a shame if he is guilty of such a terrible crime. But if he is guilty, then he should be punished. That goes for anyone, celebrity or otherwise.

true indeed, i do hope that truth prevails here.

Kobe must have been drunk, she doesn't look half as hot as his wife.

That girl's attractive as well....but yes, his wife is more attractive, and it's his wife....

Intoxication might explain his actions, but certainly won't excuse them. And I thought that all the photos and information posted thus far have been false?

here's a thread on who she supposedly really is, they are claiming the other pics were a decoy. who knows.

Since there's three discussions that are essentially the same, I thought I'd create a
new topic that consolidated the discussions of all three topics.
