AI and the Sixers

Why doesnt ai play pg and philly bring in a bigger sg. They're undersized anyway. They should go for maggette cuz they cant match up well with the size of the west's guards.

I think every pg on the sixers is bigger than AI.

because he wants to shoot 30 shots per game

Because his game isn't suited to the point guard position. Like Magic Johnson (who is at the other end of the scale, taller than everyone else at his position) before him, his game and position is not dictated by his height. Besides, just because he's a shooting guard doesn't mean he has to defend the other team's shooting guard.

They should go for maggette cuz they cant match up well with the size of the west's guards.

They can't get Maggette. He's either going to Utah or staying with the Clippers if they match the offer sheet (and they are expected to do so).

early in ai's career when he was playing the point, there were problems with him executing the offenses because he liked to penetrate and shoot if he had the shot, or dish once he had his man beat and defenders collapsed on him, but his teammates seemed to have problems handling his passes, and many admitted to not being ready for the passes because they were watching him too much expecting some kind of sick move. he actually did like passing the ball, but more like freaking the defense and throwing a last second pass to a wide open teammate. the team then didn't have many players who could catch the ball and finish. he got frustrated because his turnover totals were high and lots of them were dropped or missed passes, so he started to just shoot the ball more because they had a better chance of scoring. then larry brown came and decided to put him at the 2, so that he could get a more conventional pg that would set up the plays the way he wanted. on some of passes people would just watch the ball fly right by them because the were totally unexpected.

Neither of them can guard true shooting guards. Both are to small to guard Kobe, Tmac, Pierce, Allen or Stack. John Salmons and Sam Clancy could help a lot if they get any minutes this season...

Phila can't go after Maggette coz they don't have the cap room

Even if they had the cap room, it wouldn't matter. He's signed an offer sheet with the Jazz which the Clippers can match. He'll either remain a Clipper or go to Utah.

i heard somewhere that ai is the best at sf position cause he can easily run on the floor and get the ball to score(but for that he's undersized).but i cant see the problem why iverson have to guard pg's and he just defends them not plays at pg but iverson can play at pg too,he showed it in a game when snow got injured and dont forget the all-star game...and philly doesnt need a taller sg to put iverson at pg position, they need a center!
