early in ai's career when he was playing the point, there were problems with him executing the offenses because he liked to penetrate and shoot if he had the shot, or dish once he had his man beat and defenders collapsed on him, but his teammates seemed to have problems handling his passes, and many admitted to not being ready for the passes because they were watching him too much expecting some kind of sick move. he actually did like passing the ball, but more like freaking the defense and throwing a last second pass to a wide open teammate. the team then didn't have many players who could catch the ball and finish. he got frustrated because his turnover totals were high and lots of them were dropped or missed passes, so he started to just shoot the ball more because they had a better chance of scoring. then larry brown came and decided to put him at the 2, so that he could get a more conventional pg that would set up the plays the way he wanted. on some of passes people would just watch the ball fly right by them because the were totally unexpected.
