Well, Isn't too riscky for Hornets now that they've signed Peja. Any drafty can be better than Snyder. (Y) Well done for Hornets.

They did.....

The Rockets made a solid move on Friday, landing guard Kirk Snyder from the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for cash and future draft considerations.

All in all, good trade by the Rockets. They needed the depth at that position and Snyder could turn into a pretty good role player off the bench.

My response was to that part. Anyways, I've killed enough braincells.

Hmmm, as a Rockets fan, I'd say that move was pretty decent. Still pretty weak offseason overall for the Rockets though. (N)

Good pick up by the rockets. Snyder is a very athletic player, and that fact that Houston got him for pretty much nothing, without using the MLE is a huge steal. Rockets has a very weak bench, and Snyder will be much needed. Now i hope the Rockets will use their MLE on a PF or a PG.

I thought the Hornets got rid of JR Smith because they wanted to give Snyder more minutes, but i guess they didn't want either.

This guy got traded for the same reason the jazz traded him. He will always be a hard ass on the coaching staff.

Decent pickup for the Rockets. I guess with their recent acquisitions Snyder didn't fit into the Hornets' future plans even though he started 45 games for them last year and put up decent numbers in less than 20 mpg.

Wow, I didn't see that coming. I though Snyder had a lot more value - a legit 6'7, 225 pounds, can play SF and SG, is athletic, nice defender, tough and put up nice numbers nice season. I thought he has great chances to become a full time starter in near future. I guess NO is going with Mason@SG, but still. Houston is looking great, though. Give them another backup C and a athletic PF, and they're ready to go (if healthy).

Well, Desmond Mason can put pretty decent numbers too and he can't play basketball, he's just an athletic-freak. The same with Snyder, but he's still has better shooting range.

I dont understand though, if the Rox wanted to get more athletic and young, why didn't they just keep Rudy Gay?
