It probably seems like a meaningless move to most of us but if it helps him with the whole "fresh start" approach to next season so be it.

He did indeed, starting with the trade to Indiana in 2002. He wore #23, #91 and #15 for the Pacers...I seem to remember him wearing another number in 2002 after the trade but I could be mistaken.

I'd say as long as you're willing to pay any fines coming your way you can defy the three year rule, which seems like a needlessly restrictive rule but that's the NBA for you.

and free agency is not an acceptable answer!

my guess: he's going to the nets!

No, he's already played there. He's one team short of breaking Chucky Brown's record so he'll need to sign elsewhere. ;)

Anything's possible but he did refuse to report when the Rockets traded him to New Orleans last year forcing the Hornets to deal him to Phoenix.

why does the article say he was drafted in 2000? wasnt he drafted in 2003?

He was indeed. They didn't check that one very thoroughly, though I have to admit I didn't notice it the first time around.

Nope, it was the 2002 draft, the 2003 draft was with Lebron.

So it was, he was the 2003 ROY which would of course mean he was drafted in 2002. In any case, it wasn't 2000. ;)
