Raptors, next year, playoffs.
hopefully

Raptors? I don't know exactly if they've got the pieces yet, depends on how their rookie turns out and how they trade/sign in the offseason. If they don't make big changes, they're one of the questionable ones.
I think right now in the NBA, Charlotte's got the best youth movement going and it's working pretty well for them. Once some of those players develop and injuries stop plaguing their team they can be spectacular. With them are the Atlanta Hawks, who have found a leader in Joe Johnson.

new york will still be over the cap

Boston has some really good young talent with West, Jefferson, Allen, Perkins...
Charlotte is a really good team considering their payroll... when they finally sign a big name free agent, watch out.
Detroit's big men are aging and they traded their future big man so I can see them in a decline in the near future
G State has some good talent with Diogu, Murph, Pietrus, and even Monta Ellis
I like New Orleans as well... with C Paul at the helm and some help, they can make the playoffs as soon as next year
Orlando will probably make the playoffs next year with Darko
I think Seattle has good potential too
Sat Apr 22, 2006 10:08 am
Yeah, but Golden State's young players don't get as many chances as they should with Baron Davis being the idiot he is.
New York being messed up, it's inevitable ain't it? Fire Thomas, trade Steph. Him and KG would make a nice combo.

Are you including the years where his team was horrific and he was (admittedly) playing for stats?

*taps his temple* not just a hat rack my friend.
come on though it's obvious, he clearly has a lot of pent up aggression that occasionally leaks out in arguments and insults about peoples mothers, i figure its only a matter of time before he insults the wrong mother and the world gets nuked to hell, leaving just him there calling the moons mother a fat crackwhore and keeping a very predictable bogut watch in his sig..... i need sleep man

If you plan on sticking around, start typing with proper grammar (capitals and such). It gets annoying real quick, even if what you say is worthwhile (and it is

).
... looks like I need a milestone thread ...

Wtf? Maybe the reason I only have occassional arguments is because I don't have enough pent up aggression

I'll happily take it out on you though

The Heat won't be too bad. Hopefully they can get Simien playing more, cos he's going to be real solid for a team if he gets minutes... they also have Dorell Wright who has played fairly well when he actually gets to play....
If only they'd get rid of Posey.... *sigh*

T-Mac's been better than Kobe every year of his career except this year.
T-Mac is a choker....he's never been to Rnd 2 and he's never been an MVP candidate.......plus his defense is shittier....Kobe doesn't play D like he used to but he is and always was the superior defender.

Monta Ellis got in SLAM's (March 2006 Edition) 10 upcoming stars as no. 9
Sat Apr 22, 2006 8:50 pm
SLAM ride the flavour of the moment....kinda like everyone jumped on Ike Diogu's nuts when he went 13-13 from the field.

I wonder what Ron Artest will do next year, any guesses?
Sun Apr 23, 2006 12:23 am
Get triple platinum status on his rap CD.
Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:38 am
He's becoming BETTER. In a few years he might successfully renew his image.
Any chance of their division becoming a 3-way race between Sacramento, Los Angeles (Clippers), and Phoenix?
Sun Apr 23, 2006 9:38 am
What you have to realize about Detroit (and yes, I'm a homer) is that they have the best general manager (as far as free-agants and trades go, not in the draft [Mikki Moore?]) in the NBA, and Orlando's first round pick either this year or next year. Also, my boys Delfino and Amir Johnson are studs.
And Orlando will be good.
Sun Apr 23, 2006 12:38 pm
I want Detroit and Miami to die soon and Jason Kidd to be followed by a kickass new point guard so that NJ finally gets back to the Finals again.
Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:14 pm
i want PHX to sign Chris Paul. Bam, what a punch. Matrix will be about 30, so still some good ball left. Amare will be back more fully(i hope)
Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:33 pm
I don't really think Chris Paul would want to go to Phoenix though. He probably wants to make New Orleans his team. He's getting pretty talented and he'll probably become the Hornets' franchise player.
Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:43 pm
yeah, i figure that. but you gotta have hope like the lakers fans do.
Mon Apr 24, 2006 1:35 pm
Cleveland will be great, Orlando will be good, Atlanta will be good too. Toronto with Bryan Colangelo in the front office will be Atlantic Division champs. As for out west I can see Golden State getting decent, and Portland will turn it around in a few years. New Orleans will be good too but who knows where they will be.
